Nice course with a friendly staff.
I arrived early for my 12.20 pm tee time and was allowed to go off early as a single. Course is in good shape. Greens are very nice. After about six holes, I caught the two some in front of me and ended up joining them on the 11th hole when they caught the group ahead of them. We played at a leisurely yet good pace the rest of the round. Cart GPS appears to be accurate and was nice to reference. I found too many sand traps which were challenging to get out of. I paid with a Golfnow hot deal but was told by the group I joined that rates dropped in June. Ask the pro shop about rates other than those listed on Golfnow or the course website.
Glad to be back!
Thank you for listening to people and finally lowering your prices in the afternoon. Used to play here with my wife every week until the prices went too high. Keep them lowered in the afternoon and we will be there every week again.
Pretty Nice........
twas a nice day from the silver tees, tougher from the blues.....i enjoyed the early tee time ..kinda a big price tag for me, but i decided to go for it....fairways had grass on em....greens a bit fast so take it easy on that first putt....keep it in play and you'll do well.........
Great conditions and pace of play
We were there on a Wednesday and not many other golfers were there. We played the pace we wanted. Course conditions were great. Greens were soft enough to stop a wedge and fast and smooth. I thought the layout was fun and challenging from the blue tees. I goofed up a couple shots on the blind tee shots. My only real complaint was the carts. They wouldn't let you within 75 yards of the green or tee boxes. It would complain if you went over 10 mph. I'd certainly play there again.
Highly recommendable course
This is the second time play here. The course conditions were good, and the pace of play was perfect. I enjoyed leisure nowhere like this. I will definitely plan to play again here when I travel San Diego area.
Amazing condition
Course was a 10 out of a 10, immaculate fairways, great greens, been playing there for over 15 years, took a break and came back to an awesome condition course
Perfect conditions
I used a GolfNow hot deal and promo code that I had to get out on Pala Mesa. They don’t have a lot of play out there so I was able to play by myself. The golf courses in spectacular condition and the weather was 75° and I played by myself, hence the perfect conditions! The normal green fees are a little high and that’s why the pro shop employees think that it’s a little empty. But I played two weeks ago and yesterday and had a great time! Even played good golf! Don’t miss Pala Mesa!
All around great experience
First time at the course, drove down from south OC and was worth the trip. Staff was friendly, course was in great condition, the carts were the brand new and high tech, other players on the course were friendly and courteous. Apparently they just put a bunch of money into the course with another big upgrade on the way!
Absolute Must
I played the course today and it was a great challenge. Although I didn’t score well, I excepted the challenge and had fun.
Great Value.
I hadn’t played here in a couple years and was amazed by the improvements that have been made. The course was in great shape from tee box to green, the staff was exceedingly friendly, and $53 was a great value for the experience. We would gladly play here again.
Great course
Course was in great shape the day I played. Greens were quick but rolled true. Whoever set the pins must of thought they were setting them for Sunday at the Masters. The greens are protected by lots of bunkers. The tee boxes and fairways were rally nice. This was my first time playing the course. The back nine was a little tricky. Lots of blind shots. I hit a lot of decent shots that ended up in bad positions.
Pala Mesa Worth the Drive
Pala Mesa Resort Golf Course required an hour and a quarter drive; however, the time spent was most certainly worth the effort. Course conditions were found to be wonderful, in great level of care. Were that I had better skill, the experience of play would have been even better 😊.
Decent course but the snack bar was closed at 3pm on a Sunday. Cart girl left at 2. For 120.00 someone should’ve been there to get something at the turn. Course was fun and greens were nice. Just WAY overpriced.
