The ranch-style Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook is just minutes away from Temecula wine country. All 132 rooms have either been renovated or will be soon. A heated outdoor pool, four lighted tennis courts and fitness room are available to guests. The golf course starts out narrow but gets more scenic with more elevation changes later in the round.Facts

Ok course
Wanted to play here for awhile. Course was ok at best. Definitely not worth the cost. Driving range was pretty bad. Warm up green/ chipping green was fair. I would not play here again.
Slow greens
Greens were slow. They used to be fast. Prices are way too expensive for quality of course. The driving range mats are a total joke. Now they have a hodgepodge of carts. I use to love the course after 30 years I'm done.

Not there yet
The fairways should be in better shape after all the rain this winter. They are still spotty and seem to need seed.
Greens are OK.
Facilities have not been upgraded for over 20 years. the restaurant was supposed to be remodeled 5 years ago but nothing has happened..

Pala Mesa has come a long way
Such a great course and like most courses it went to terrible shape due to covid. Well all that's changed, the course is in GREAT shape and I cannot say enough good things about the staff.

Amazing course!
The course conditions are excellent shape, the back nine is the best challenge.
The staff is amazing both in the clubhouse and the pro shop.
They have a wonderful snack bar and a outstanding restaurant & bar.
The chef in the restaurant puts out amazing food...
"Roasted brussels sprouts and an amazing prime rib dip sandwich with truffle waffle fries"!

Solid course
We had an early morning tee time, got through in 3:15.. and that was with some waiting on the tee.
Course conditions were alright, nothing glaringly bad. I’m not sure it’s worth the $99 - but if you can play for $50-60, I think it’s perfect.
Shorter course, but make sure you keep it straight…Driver didn’t see the light too often! Definitely check it the course.
