Poor Conditions and Cart Path only!!
I understand that maintenance is being performed on the course right now but the course is in bad shape. Almost all of the fairways have weeds, dirt patches and dead areas.Tee boxes range from dirt to minimal grass and the greens were not much better. Additionally, it's currently cart path only because of over seeding the fairways, strange that the last 3 times I've played here it's been cart path only.

Brothers visit
The course was in terrible condition.
Horrible tee boxes and greens were in bad shape.
The fairways were dry and beat up.

Terrible condition
Front nine was horrific. Practically all dirt and weeds. No disclosure in advance. Back nine was significantly better but still below average. Coming from front nine to back made you feel back nine was better than it was just because front nine was virtually a dirt field. Do not play this course until it gets proper care.

It got worse
I wrote a review not to long ago and somehow the course got worse. And the prices went up. Every fairway is brown and extremely dry as are the tee boxes. I only played here because I was able to use some discounts. I will wait till next year to play again.

Fast play, rough conditions
Greens were punched so played auto 2-putt. Every single green was rolling different and very sandy. Front nine fairways dried out and the back nine were a bit better. Course will be a lot more fun in a month from now .

Pala Mesa is a nice course tp play in drought conditions
We played during the week as a foursome and considering the water restrictions the course was in good condition. The front nine greens had some stress from the drought but overall the greens were better than another course we played up north. The carts have GPS which was nice but they would stop the carts in unmarked restricted areas (when you are too close to the greens) and we had to reverse our way out. There is elevation through the course and pace of play (4 hour round) was good considering we did let three twosomes play through as a courtesy. The price was very reasonable (under $50 each with a cart) and it was the cheapest we played that week.

Not worth your time
Completely disappointing round. We were not told the greens were sanded and the greens were matted with sand. The fairways are in poor shape and the ground crews had zero sense of urgency in getting out of the way of play. We ordered a sandwich before the turn and nothing was ready when we made the turn.
As a traveling golfer make sure you call and ask on the conditions of the course. If it wasn’t for my decent round and a good place of play I would have rated Thai coins a 1 out of 5.

Sanded greens

Greens Punched
Greens were punched just recently. We found out on the first hole. They weren’t raked yet either so we just called it quits and called GN for our refund and said the holes were unplayable. We told the club house and they understood. No issues w refund since club house was understanding. I wish this didn't happen but I know a lot of people have to travel to this area so i hope it saves someone a drive this week. Ps the fairways were also looking very blotchy and reminded me of the park where the Dodgers play. Hopefully its better in the winter.

Unplayable Greens / Shame on GolfNow
Booked through GolfNow; there was no mention of aerification/topdressing of greens. I was notified upon arrival that the greens had been punched and topdressed. The employee stated I could give it a shot and see "if" the greens were playable - they were NOT. I played tee to green (no putting) for 12 holes and then left. The course employee told me to contact GolfNow about the conditions of the course. Yes, I didn't book through the course directly but GolfNow is selling green fees and should be in the loop on if the greens are playable. I've played this course before several times and have no issue with the course or its staff.

Great course considering watering restrictions.
Three of us played Pala Mesa on Thursday September 22, 2022 and the course was in good condition considering the drought and watering restrictions. The course was in fairly good condition considering the heat, the greens in the front 9 were OK and the back nine greens were great. We played two other courses this week and Pala Mesa had the best conditions considering. The greens were well taken care of and we had a few balls back off their impact holes. The greens weren't covered in weeds as another course we played were, the roughs were manageable and pace of play was good, we did have a few twosomes ask to play through our foursome but we still played in four hours. The price was $45 with a cart each and the club house personnel were very friendly.. The carts all are equipped with GPS systems and the only complaint I have is the carts would stop if you were too close to a restricted area and you have to reverse your way back to the course. boundary. All in all this is a course we would play again even with the drought.

Greens need HELP
Was shocked at how the course was in need of work. The fairways were over grown and a handful of greens were in terrible shape. Very unusual for Pala Mesa

Great track, bad conditions
Greens were good
Sand was tough and almost unplayable
Fairways were spotty grass at best
Tee boxes were pretty bad shape.
It is end of summer season, so I hope they fix the course over winter. Price point is STEEP for the conditions.

Nice place
I didn't play as well as I should have, but the course was in good shape considering how hot and dry the weather has been. The staff was very friendly. The only issue I had was that the parking brake on the cart would not lock every time I tried to use it.
