A heated outdoor pool, four lighted tennis courts and fitness room are available to guests. The golf course starts out narrow but gets more scenic with more elevation changes later in the round.Facts

Mow mow mow
Fairways and rough desperately in need of mowing. Since there is noticeable overwatering, this makes it worse without mowing. Fairways and rough are pretty much crabgrass, coupled with overwatering, your club can barely get through the grass. Not only does it slow down the club face, it twists the club. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just the rough, but it happened in the fairway time and again. I'm just glad I had a Hot Deal and only wasted $30 instead of their regular $50 weekday rate.

Disappointed
I checked the website several times regarding cart path only restrictions as we have golfers with medical conditions-there was no mention. When we arrived at the course we were advised the front nine was cart path only. The round also took 4 1/2 hours to play. We found the front nine fairways and greens to be in worse shape than the back nine. We played the course but will not be back.

Where is the fairway?
This course has a nice layout and good pace of play. However, the course condition can be improved a lot. Fairway grasses are very tall, almost as if I’m playing from the roughs. Fun and challenging green though!

Not Good Value
Paid $91 to play at 11:30am on a Saturday. Golf cart included. Figured that was a fair enough deal considering it was the weekend and I liked the course layout when I’ve played here before. This time, there was a single in front of us, a two some in front on him and it took 4h45 to finish the round. C’mon man. A solo? On a Saturday??? Also was disappointed with the condition of the greens, the tee boxes, and finding out it was cart path only. At the turn, there was only hot dogs and Turkey sandwiches. Pretty funny considering that the golf cart message boasts “a new menu!”. That all being said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming so i give them credit there. Long story short, wouldn’t drive all the way out there to spend $91 on 4.75 hr round in the future.

Disappointed
Upon making my reservation a week in advance I was charged a $63.00 green fee. I was not notified that the course would be going through the over seed process and that it would be cart path only, I was also not notified that due to the over seed they reduced the green fee to $49.00. I was not given a refund since I chose to pre-pay for my round through the Golf Now app. The tee boxes where over grown and needed to be mowed, the fairways where wet and somewhat soggy in places. The greens where in okay condition. This course has a great layout that is challenging and its a shame to see it in such poor condition.

First time I can honestly say I did not enjoy a round of golf.
Cart path only led to massive delays. 4 groups on one tee.

Course in poor shape
Long grass in every fairway, unless you stand right on top of the ball, you won't find it. Tee boxes are scuffed and at lease half of them are not level.

Quiet Wednesday
Played midday round at Pala Mesa. Course was in pretty good shape overall, tee boxes and greens were a little rough in spots, and traps were unraked. Played at a brisk pace as we were not pushed from behind nor did we wait for group ahead of us. Overall a pleasant round.

Angry neighbor
Coupled with the stay on cart path rules , Pala has an angry neighbor on hole 11 that will come out and yell at the golfers for enjoying their round to loudly!!!!
