Gorgeous course. Challenging par 5. Many rolling and two step greens surrounded with bunkers. Course was in great condition.

Course is in excellent shape, greens are so perfect they are exceptionally tough to get the ball in the tiny holes. Great fun!!

The course, the caddie and the people in the lodge were exceptional. Most of the staff at the pro shop were friendly and courteous. My negative experience was with a Marshall on the course. Our group teed off at our scheduled 7:50 time, but the 7:40 group before us did not show. Instead of moving us up, they kept us at our regular time. Before starting there is a sign that says to keep a 1/2 hole between groups. Because a group was missing in front of us, we were practically harassed into hurting to catch up to the group in front of us. The marshal said we were 1 1/2 holes behind, yet on a par 5 we were waiting to hit because the group in front of us was still on the green. So, the marshal lied about us being behind. Even though we were told at the pro shop to expect a round of golf to take 6 hours, we finished in just over 4 hours. There was no need for a marshal to act like he did.

It was a nice but frustrating day on the course.. I played with two nice ladies who were so slow and inexperienced on golf etiquette. Putting out of turn, standing in my line, chatting Loudly while taking a shot, after hitting there shot walking in front of me while I’m trying to take my shot. One gal didn’t break 130 and the other 110. I certainly don’t mind them being a beginner but please take some time to understand the rules and being aware of the basics.

I had a blast at the course, it was the day before The Monterey City Championship were to start. The course was in great condition and the greens were smooth and quick. The weather was beautiful as well.

Always love this course. Played twice during the last week of June and the course is in absolutely perfect condition as you’d expect.

The greens are lightning fast, especially downhill. They roll pure and are trickier than they look. Make sure to look at the shot from all angles. Or better yet rely on a seasoned caddie to help out. My caddie Mitch is one of the best in the business with 20 plus years experience and has that perfect combination of technical skills (green reading, ball spotting) and personality. I’ve been using him for about 4-5 years now.

Fairways at Spyglass Hill are immaculate. As perfect as you can imagine.

Sand traps are also in top form with a perfect amount of fluffy white sand.

It’s always a pleasure to play here and though fees have increased, you get what you pay for.

This is a very lovely golf course and is in great shape. The sand traps have really soft white sand that you would expect to see at Pebble Beach. There are lovely trees, some changes in elevation, and fairways and greens are in great shape. Playing early on a weekday, I was able to finish in 2:20.

Pace of play was slow. Back up of 3 groups on every par 3. Otherwise, great fun to have played this course.

SHUT UP when I'm on the Tee. Got paired with a Threesome. Talking when I'm on the Tee. Disrespectful.

I played the day before the Monterey City Championships and the course was in beautiful condition with the greens being a little bumpy but in great condition. Hats off to the greens keeper for getting them ready for tournament play. .

Seems EVERY TIME I get paired with people, they have NO ETIQUETTE, People, SHUT UP when I'm on the tee and putting. IT'S NOT THAT HARD.
