Rancho Bernardo Inn

This resort is beautiful and the golf course is a great match. The staff was great and made sure my round was enjoyable. The course wasn't crowded and the pace suited my beginner capabilities. My wife was my ride along caddie and she enjoyed her time as well. I will be back to this resort and on the course.

Great staff, very friendly and lovely course! They loaned me some lefty clubs and moved our tee time at the last minute upon our request.

Was only able to play half of the course bc they were punching the greens on the front nine. I'm tired of golf now not notifying there customers of punched greens. Not only was there punched greens but there was a mornings men's league which made it slow and then a high school tournament. Calling the course from now on done with golfnow

Got a good deal on Under Par, $47 each, which is about what the course is worth. The front nine is in much better condition than the back and we played in regulation time. The back nine took 3 hours, held up all the way round by a foursome clearly playing the wrong tees and no ranger to sort things out.

At full price this would be a rip off, any deal above $50 can probably be beaten for value elsewhere sorry to say.

The golf was excellent however, the pro at the golf shop was of the opinion that we did not matter. He treated us like we were imposing on him as we had a tee time through Golf Now dot com. At first he could not find our reservation and when he finally did find it that he would bounce us off the course if some other entity booked the same time. This is not the first encounter I have had with this Pro. He treats the guests like dirt.

The course is challenging especially around and on the greens. The greens are faster than they appear and the slopes can make the reading of a putt very challenging. But the overall atmosphere of the course is terrific and except for little misinformation about the driving range due to being closed on Mon. was also terrific.

I wasn't sure what to expect as Rancho Bernardo had a good reputation some years ago and then not so good....so we took a chance and were rewarded nicely for our choice. It is in excellent condition and well maintained with sincerely helpful staff. The greens were very quick but not unfair....many holes presented an excellent challenge with speciific reference to the par threes......if you have an opportunity to play it by all means do so........you will enjoy your round.....

Rancho Bernardo Inn is a gem tucked away in central San Diego county. For the charges, you have the right to expect at least "good" conditions for the fairways. The fairways were in a very sad condition. Drought has been an issue for all golf courses but this course has obviously foregone chemicals needed to keep a fairway useable. This course has a $30 value.

Pleasant experience although back nine was really slow. Had a 5-some ahead of us.

This course was very good, I would go back play
when we visit San Diego.

Rancho Bernardo is an above average course within a reasonable drive from San Diego. The green fee was reasonable. The snack bar was maybe not so good.

We travel from San Jose Ca to San Diego every year for the past 20 years. We go on the Stay and Play package which is the best golf package in the country (we've checked them all). If you're looking for the best golf vacation, this is it!

Always an enjoyable round of golf. The course is well maintained a pleasure to play. The entire staff is exceptional including the courteous landscape crew. Looking forward to our next round of golf here.

RBI is impeccably maintained with a course layout that is perfectly balanced for risk-reward. It is enjoyable every time played.

Not much to say here other than my family had a great time. The staff was amazing. Greg is a true gem in the world of customer service. The course was in nice shape and the pace of play at our leisure. The greens were nice, though some hadn't healed from aerification, but overall it wasa great experience. The one negative was the beverage cart wasn't serving anything other than sodas due to a tournament in the morning not wanting booze, but we stocked up on the turn and all was well. Our handicaps range from a 5 to 25+ so even with the discrepancy in skill the tees provided fun and a challenge for everyone. 100% going back.

Course was reasonable shape even with the greens punched 2 weeks prior. Strangely, saw three pedestrians walking on the course - one with a baby carriage. Incredibly bizarre but humorous.

Challenging from the back tees, but still playable for my wife from the Ladies.

Great course w/an intermediate challenging layout. The greens were really quick but immaculate. The rough was in pro-tour condition so it really was tough hitting out of it. The bunkers had just been redone & are extremely pure to hit out of-just make sure you don't sink!!! Overall, finished in 4 hours and had a great time.
