Try to fit it in your golf trip.
This course is always in great shape and enjoyable to play.
Beautiful course in Palm Desert
Some beautiful holes. Loads of water. Way more hills than I was expecting. Greens not as good as you would hope.
Finally level & well-manicured tee boxes
Played in 4 hours which is good for resort course. Good condition for winter grasses.
A reasonable resort course, but the grounds crew made it more challenging than it should be.
On a par 4 with water about 125 yards to 80 yards in front of the green and a very steep uphill slope past the water to the green, they cut the rough so short on the hill that even though I purposely hit into the rough 50 yards past the water, my ball rolled all the way down the hill and into the water.
This is not a "resort course" like condition! maybe appropriate for a PGA event, but certainly not for a resort course! Especially not fun when it was $229 for a round that should have been about $75 to $100!!!
It’s fine
I have been curious to play this course for years. Having many experiences at this resort when I was a child. Needless to say I was not impressed, a serious lack of amenities, rough around the edges and no vibe.
Course not being maintained
Beautiful course in decline. Greens in terrible shape. Cannot beat the natural beauty of water features, but totally disappointing.compared to two years ago when I remember it as velvet.
Disappointed
Valley course used to be one of our favorites. I was very disappointed to find the greens were in poor shape and the bunkers were a disgrace. When you couple that with a ridiculously overpriceed green fee, I'm sorry to say I won't be back!
Greens Lacking
The course was not very busy but the pace of play was not great. Some singles or couples sandwiched in between some really slow foursomes. The course conditions were average (turf in some bunkers, sand was inconsistent, fairways in decent to good shape), but several of the greens were really in poor condition. The staff was great so that’s a positive aspect. I paid the discount rate but feel like that was too much for the condition and the quality of other courses in the area.
Beautiful
The course is in great condition. The last few holes will make you cry if you get careless.
Great Course
Beautiful course, well maintained, although the greens were a little bumpy. lots of water on the front nine.
Great Course in Palm Desert
What a beautiful course. Remarkably hilly for Palm Desert. Thanks for a great day.
Nice Layout but Pathetic Greens
The course layout was a lot of fun, and the staff was great, but the greens were completely unacceptable for the price paid. Grass was spotty and the roll on the green was not true, which I think is critical for an enjoyable round of golf. If you do decide to play, I would suggest setting a rule of a 2-putt maximum, since the greens will not reward well-struck putts. I play away on 25+ courses a year and these are the worst greens I have played on. Played an $18 round of golf today and the greens would be the envy of the Valley course. Save your money and go elsewhere. I cannot overemphasize how bad the greens were!
A good day as a Hot Deal, but wouldnt want to pay full price. Several greens had bare areas, and the fairways were generally thin. Grass growing in some bunkers, and minimal sand. Very nice layout, though, and a good but fair challenge from the blue tees.
Nice course
Lots of hills and water on this beautiful course in the middle of the Marriott complex
Good layout; greens a bit thin
A fun layout (Palms Course)… the course, with the exception of the greens, is is very good shape. Greens were thin (still coming in.. assuming they need warmer weather 😎). I would play again, but only if the greens were much better.
Pro shop person would not check us in for our round until 1hour before the tee time .. since we pre paid via TeeOff.com/Golf now !! I have never encountered this “rule” at any course. The guy might have had a bad day. The starter (Tim) was awesome… he move us to an earlier tee time and let us hit balls before we were officially checked in! At least one employee was customer service focused.
Marvellous Marriott
Great course and the conditions were almost perfect. Staff were fantastic. They really looked after me.
