Be prepared to be caught with hidden fees
After booking the tee time in person I arrived the next day only to later find out that I couldn’t share my set so it would’ve been nice to know in person.
Difficult due to tall grass
We like the course; however, this time the grass was very tall which made it difficult to find your ball. We found a lot of balls but not necessarily ours. Needless to say, the tall grass wore me out...,hard to get out of and easy to go right back into another patch of tall grass.
Taken Back
Taken back by the condition of the course. Understand that this is the middle of summer but compared to other courses in the valley the greens were abysmally slow, the rough was grown too high for a resort course (I abandoned two ball on the course that were just off the fairway) and there were piles, yes piles of dead unpicked up layers of grass everywhere. A real disappointment considered this is one of my favorite courses to pay. Normally the $80 green fee would be fair but as for present condition $45 would be better
Grass clipping in the rough.
Course was in good shape for summer conditions however, the rough area had little piles of grass clippings all over the course. Seems like it would be that difficult to pick them up.
Quality course
Typical higher end course in Palm Springs. Well manicured with some gently rolling hills. Pace of play was great, but snack bar was closed and restaurant not open yet prior to our tee time.
Beautiful!
A course in transition, rough but worth the effort! Locals don’t rake the traps, needs water.
An Old Favorite
First time back at the Palms Course in a few years. The course was in good shape but the greens were a little lumpy and long. They rolled better than they look. They pace of play seemed slow but we finished in 4 hours, which is okay for a popular resort course like the Marriott on a weekend.
The price is way too high in my opinion for this time of year. Pre-Covid prices were about $25 with this type of heat but our round was $111 at 114 degrees. The course used to provide free fruit and mango sented ice towels as well for your $25, but now it's just you and the heat.
Aside from the price hike, the course is beautiful. I shot 41-42-83 which is nothing special but the course was very playable and still visually stunning.
Beautiful!!!
-1 after 4 holes, not so luck on the back 9, not the courses fault! I’d recommend to any golfer !
The Best!
Love playing here! My favorite Palm Springs Course! Summer greens...tough to make finesse putts for birdies. Still had lots of fun and enjoyed the scenery!
Nice place
Pretty good shape for the hot summer. Greens a little bumpy but that’s to be expected. Maybe a little hi $ for mid summer
Hot, hot
Good course, weather was too hot to play. Got ten holes in
Aeration Time
It's aeration time on most Desert course's in July and August ..Because the temperature is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit it's pretty wide open in terms of the pace of play. I played the Valley Course which is in better shape than the Palms Course. The greens were pretty bumpy and slow.
Summer Bang for your $$
Had a great hotdeal thru golfnow for today. A bit hot but love the game. Had to call golfnow to assist in booking it. Both Hotdeal were not available and the lady that assist me said she would personally call the course if they can get it. So glad she did. Paid $46 online. If you can put up with the heat, go for it. Bring plenty of water. Cart guys were friedly and also gave me extra water. Don't forget to tip. Goes a long way. Cart girl was leaving at noon and said she done for the day. Played with another gentleman and flew by the course in 2 1/2 hrs. Thank you golfnow for assisting. Had a Blast. Keep the customer service like this and why would you book itanywhere else. Very professional and even called back to confirm it was good. Be Bless. 🫡😇
Fun course
Course was fun. Greens were slow and the rough was thick. Best keep it in the fairway.
Great Layout
Beautiful Course! Great green conditions in our 100 degree desert weather. Would definitely play here again.
Off season
I recently played this course, and unfortunately, it was not in great shape, likely due to it being the off-season. I ended up paying a higher price for this course than another one in the area in better condition. The course had a lot of dead grass, and some areas were not well-maintained. Given the money I paid, I don't feel it was worth it. I might consider giving it another chance in the future, but definitely not at the same price.
