Wonderful experience
Course conditions are excellent.
Pace of play smooth all day.
Golf carts in perfect shape with GPS!
Off course amenities "Par Grill" restaurant is totally worth stopping in after your round for great food and drinks.
I highly recommend this GC, totally worth the drive and money - I can't wait to return...
It’s been awhile
I haven’t played at San Vicente in over a decade. A friend suggested I give it a shot. The course is well maintained, and a great value compared to similar priced courses in San Diego County. The greens are in great shape, rolled true, and had a lot of movement and undulation. Plenty of attractive water hazards, the sand and bunkers were all in nearly perfect condition with soft sand. Also, beautiful mountain vistas from the course. A real gem! Highly recommend.
Beautiful Golf Course!
Pro shop staff & Starter very nice and professional.
Driver range well maintained, putting practice greens challenging (not flat) which is good to get you ready for what you about to encounter on the course.
The pace of play was like no other, well spaced out - nobody waiting on us and we were not waiting on the players ahead.
Wild life everywhere, fish, turtles, birds, dragon fly's, wild turkeys - yes, wild turkeys!
The greens were full and the fairways were nice.
I enjoyed an IPA & Personal size pizza at the end of my round at the "PAR" restaurant on the deck over looking the course.
I highly recommend the course, you will not be disappointed - I can't wait to come back!
Current conditions lacking but always enjoy this course.
Greens were just punched and there is a lot of maintenence going on. Green surrounds aren't in the best of shape. Keep checking reviews to see when course is back in shape.
No Punched Greens Notification
I like the layout. Was disappointed that there was no mention of the greens having just been punched earlier in the week and more disappointed that they charged a full round price. I do look forward to coming back once the greens are in top shape. The pace was great for a Saturday afternoon. (Just a hair over 4 hours.) Ate dinner and watched the Padres game at the resort restaurant after the round and it was outstanding!
I'll be back!
Unfortunately san diego weather has changed. Didn't expect wind chill and numb fingers in April. Regardless that has nothing to do with the course. Well maintained, greens are fast with the breaks of miniature golf. Plenty of water and bunkers to take into consideration on most shots. If you get discouraged just set up a umbrella in a trap because the sand is identical to the beach!
Pace of Play
This is the 4th time I’ve played here, and it’s the fourth time where pace of play has been an issue. Each time I’ve played here it’s taken a minimum of 5.5 hours. At this point I’ve given up on playing this course due to pace of play. Zero percent chance of finishing under 4.5 hours.
Good to visit an old hangout
I lived in Ramona for 20 years.
My son played San Vicente for high school team.
Winter is hard on fairways but they were acceptable
The greens were something special. Quick and tough to read. One member of our Group was Champions Tour graduate. He thought it was agreat track.
Ecpect a few 3 puts. Hard to read first time around.
Over all best experience at this course I have ever had.
Momey well spent
Nice day
Played after a rain. Everything was green! Course was surprisingly dry and no cart path only! Pace was good. Finished under 5 hrs. Will come back
The course was fun, im prestine, well manicured condition
San Vicente
Beautiful place, all excellent, except the grill is not open on Mondays. During round, it hailed, lightning and thunder and poured.
Highly Disappointed!
I have played here before and was always top of my list, but today...What a disappointment.
The fairways are roached, especially 17.
No grass, you have to hit off patchy dirt throughout the course. Dead grass everywhere.
On the up side, the tee boxes & greens were in good shape.
Not worth $100+!
I hope they over seed quick and get this right as the layout is great...
