Fun n challenging
Course layout is done really well! Pace of play was not that pleasing and course was pretty soggy but overall vey fun n technical.
Great course- greens recently punched
Love Copper Valley. It would have appreciated knowing the greens were recently punched.
Challenging course for my skill level.
Maintenance staff was busy and friendly.
Not worth the money!
Horrid conditions! The fairways are dead even though heavy over watered. The bunkers have no sand in them just plastic on dirt on top. Horrid pace of play. Every hole we waiting for 2 groups to tee off before us. I’d ask for my money back if it were an option. This course is run down and not like the picture!
Fantastic course!
Take advantage of playing one of the best courses in the region. Well designed and challenging holes. Gorgeous scenery. One of my favorite places to play!
A Marshall Would Help
Back 9 took 2.5 hours in 93 degree heat due to the 3some in front of us slowing down but never considering letting us play through. The course itself is fantastic, one of my favorites.
Gold rating for Copper Valley
From checking in at the Pro Shop, warming up practice areas, Brian Glosser the Club Pro, Loddy the Starter, pace of play, challenging course that required all of your clubs and perfect course conditions- a definite must play recommendation for players of all levels.
The right amount of challenge
The course is always in great condition. The layout of the course is just right for a mid to high handicap golfer to have have fun from the forward tees, but be challenging enough for the lower handicap golfer from the back tees.
Great golf course
I’ve played Copper Valley golf course quite a few times. Like most courses play can be slow at times, but for the most part, the average round is four hours in my experience during the weekdays. Fairways and greens are definitely five star. I know there is some issues with some sand traps around the course they are working on them.. The amazing views of the surrounding Sierra Mountain range and the beautiful homes on the course make it a pleasant experience.
Long Round
Great layout and beautiful surroundings but the pace of play was very slow we had to wait five to ten minutes on every tee box and felt the pressure of the group behind us ( nice group just frustrated like we were. Marshall came by and said they were running forty-five minutes behind totally unacceptable and the bunkers were in bad shape. After looking at the reviews seems like a common problem in all phases so we won't be back.
Sincerely,
TC
The Golf Club at Copper Valley
It’s a great course and worth the drive (normally). My issue was the greens had gone through aerification and it was NOT noted in the booking description. Other golf courses post it in bold and even offer discounted rates. Unfortunately, it was never mentioned during the booking process, check-in either (deceptive) and I didn’t realize it until the first green. Not worth putting for the day (so much sand).
Also, some of the fairways were cart path only (due to the recent rain) and not mowed. Last complaint is one of the staff members was on the rude/uppity side (delusion of grandeur). Locals know who he is.
Slow
The pace of play on weekends at Copper are always incredibly slow. Yesterday they had a tournament in the morning and pretty much let those groups jump in at any time on any hole when they wanted after the tournament. We were on hole 3, a twosome, a threesome in front of us and foursome passed us up and started on #4. Called the clubhouse, nothing was done about it.
Course looked great, greens were in very good condition but the bunkers continue to be embarrassing.
