Tight little course is more difficult than it looks.
Gotta be accurate with short irons and putt well to score. Big hitters have little advantage here.
Great for short irons!
Good primer for ones short game. I would come back.
Quality course for when you don't have all day to play
This course is fun and i always find it maintained from the T-Box to the greens . i usually walk and play their walking rate witch was pushed back to 3:00 pm so i have not been here since the change. I was surprised to see walking rate on golf Now for a Sunday morning and took it , I usually play courses that will provide walking rates regardless of time of day, since my playing partners also enjoy walking. I hope they will provide more walking rates in future, the course was in great shape and the greens ran true. if you don't have the time for a par 72 course this one will satisfy fore sure,
Poorly managed tournament
I had a 1pm Sunday tee time and a youth tournament of about 30 kids was a head of me. The pace of play was so slow that everyone was backed up for several holes. I called the club house to ask if they could have the parents move the players along and I was told they couldn't do that. I could skip ahead if I wanted and go back and play the holes I missed. My partner and I did. Those that didn't were stranded. We played the back nine before the tourny played 3 holes.
I"m all for youth golf but the parents marshalling the kids did nothing to control them. They were goofing off rather than playing golf. Shame on Welks for not having better supervision of a tournament they hosted.
Fun golf course
Even though this course is relatively short, you can still get into trouble or lose a ball if you're wild off the tee. Because this is a resort course, the condition was very good. If you are a golfer, you can have a fun round with about fives clubs. Leave your driver in the bag. We had a good time.
Great Executive Course
If you need a course to work on your short game, this is it. Well worth the drive. This par 61 course is well maintained with outstanding greens, With narrow fairways, this will test your short game alignment. With a couple of reachable par 4's an eagle is possible but all par 4's are easily reachable in 2. Some of the par 3's are really short. Pace of play is good and the staff is great. Cart or walk this is a great course to play.
Great venue for the price
Perfect course to work on the short game. Super friendly staff. This is a great bargain for the price.
Great Play
Nice easy course w/ just enough challenges for beginners
Tougher than it looks!
Nice shorter course, walked it and that's a challenge in itself. Par 3s are testers and the par 4s are tight enough to keep you from thinking about trying to drive any greens.
Great course
The golf course is in excellent condition, one of the best executive course in the area, the staff is very professional, they value their costumers.
Welk, Pay for the golf...the noise is free!
I got an obscene hot deal for 10 bones that I couldn't refuse!
The course was was busy and had to wait on every shot but finished in 3 1/2 hrs. The Fountains was in awesome shape with the the greens running pretty slow but beautiful. My only complaint besides my sorry score was the noise. They are building more condo's overlooking the 5th fairway so it should be loud thru the summer. There was also a guy yelling thru a bullhorn for some event that lasted my whole round. Great price, Beautiful, fun course and plenty of free noise! 2 out of 3 ain't bad!
A great place to improve your short game.
My wife and I enjoyed playing The Oaks and intend to play there often.
lovely landscaping in a very scenic environment
Had a nice day in a lovely setting . only used a fairway wood once ,so course is good for short game practice and play can be slow with non golfers giving it a vacation go. RESORT area is lovely and nice selection in the pro shop . Just have fun ,BUT DON'T EXPECT TO BE CHALLLENGED
The course has a great layout
The course is green. The greens are well maintained. Played on Fountains.
Fun course for children
My 8 year old son had a great time playing this course. Highly
Recommend for children. Not a course for an avid golfer
Enjoyable mountain vista and courteous people. T-boxes in good condition.
Course was well groomed. We teamed up with another two some when we started our t-time at 8:15 AM on Sunday March 24 and had an enjoyable time. Many golfers out on the course but the speed of play was well monitored by the course Assistants. The entire experience was very positive except for some of my pitch shots. Club house Associates very courteous and the starter attendant had a good attitude. Keep the momentum going!
We got paired up with an older couple due to the course getting backed up.
But the player in front of us, was walking and playing 5 balls per green. SO how is that right??
My son and I had a great time. The staff was very friendly. The course is nice - not super challenging, but fun.

Great outing
I took my wife out to the course and had a wonderful time. It is laid out very nicely for walking and is pretty.
Good executive course
Nice executive course to play, some holes are challenging. The greens are in good condition. The fairways on the front 9 need some attention but ok for the time of year.
