course is in lousy shape
We played it once before but would not return---they need to change the name as there is Mission hills and westin mission hills----lots of water stations which was appreciated
Disorganized staff and painfully slow
Showed up to be told I couldn’t play at my tee time. I had to either go half an hour early which meant no warmup or 45 minutes late which meant I wouldn’t be able to finish the round before sunset.
I chose to go early. Took 2 hours and 40 minutes to play 9 holes.
Greens were all burnt. One of the par 3’s there was a shirtless resident in flip flops driving around in a golf cart at the edge of the water looking for balls. Had to wait on him also. Driving on the tee boxes and greens with his cart. To be clear this person was not golfing. Just trespassing to look for balls
Awful experience. Will never go back!
0/5
Disappointed
I was expecting more for the price. Staff was friendly, course in rough shape, hard bunkers, so-so tee boxes.
No real pro shop of F&B facilities.
Disappointing
Played before and enjoyed. Played early afternoon. No rangers and two different singles jumped in front; no cart person after 3:00…94 degrees and no water. Clubhouse closed at 4:00. No access to anything. No club cleaning after round. Never again!
Resort style
Good resort course, not too hard to play. Thought it would be harder being a Pete Dye course. Fairways were nice, greens were fairly fast but could have been in better condition. Would play again.
Better Options Available
Excited to play the Pete Dye course at Mission Hills unfortunately left disappointed. Furst the good the layout was good but everything after was a big let down. Customer service was below par except Levi the starter who at least smiled. Additionally the beverage cart has no food so was instructed to place order at 9 tee. Tried calling for food 3x but no answer. At the turn went in to try & get an ore-made sandwich but there is none and we are too busy to make or answer your call. The course conditions were ok in fairways but tees on the par 3’s were set on slopes and the putting greens all had issues & all top dressed to try & help areas.that needed TLC. The overall experience was lacking and a lot of other courses in the area that have better service & better greens.
Beautiful design
This course is well designed and not too punishing for the average golfer. My only complaint is they’ve been to stingy with water on the fairways as they’re like hitting in northern Scotland. The greens were excellent and fast.
A beautiful resort course
The course is in beautiful condition overall. The fairways are wide and forgiving. The greens are excellent. Unfortunately the sand traps are poor with more gravel than sand. Almost impossible to play.
Challenge but very playable
Fun course with some challenging holes but nice wide fairways and tee selection that makes it playable for all levels. Greens were a little rough with the lack of players repairing their pitch marks. Will definitely play again…..
Bunkers and rough not in great shape
Course could be in better shape. Bunkers, rough, and greens could be better, no question.
Mission Hills - Gary Player North
We played on a beautiful day with perfect weather. The course was not in the best of shape and an awful clubhouse. Would not suggest playing there especially with the price we paid.
