Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

I was very disappointed in the greens. What happened to the greens? Crusty dirt, your ball bounces on the roughness. The hot weather has just recently started so no excuse there. i like the course but would not return for the above reason. Hope you guys address them aggressively or replace whoever is in charge of them it highly reflects on your course. Thanks Russell

Let me preface this by saying this is one of my favorite layouts in the Coachella Valley. It's DyeLite--hard enough to be challenging without being punishing.

That said, the condition yesterday of virtually everything was shockingly poor. The greens, first and foremost, were more brown than green, bumpy, slow, and just god-awful. The holes look like they were cut weeks ago. Did they dismiss their entire grounds crew? Tee decks were fluffy, the fairway was fluffy, the practice green holes--no joke--must have been months old.

The staff, to their credit, appear to be making as much as they can out of a tough situation. Water was offered plentifully on a hot day (thank you!), and everyone we encountered was service-oriented. But no matter how friendly the staff, if the course is this shaggy and unkempt, we won't be back anytime soon.

The greens were not maintained properly; nit worth the money

Have played 50 rounds over 20 courses from January through March. Due to the mild and wet fall, every course was in pristine shape….with the exception of Mission Hills Pete Dye. Fairways were thin, rough terrible, and you can’t even call them greens…more dirt and sand than grass, severely burned, cracked. What a disgrace! No water on beverage cart on course when temperatures are hitting 40 degrees C.

Played Gary Player earlier in the year and you wouldn’t believe they are owned by the same company.

Westin….you will never see us again and everyone be warned…this course isn’t worth a dollar at this point.

Not the course , but golfers who do not know to rake traps and fix divots

Very friendly and accommodating staff greens are in bad shape fairways are hard need water.

The course provided 2 waters per cart and there are no refillable stations. On a day that was very hot, this was really bad. When we commented on our return, they were very dismissive say well you could have asked for more. To whom, no one was on the course. Won’t be playing there again.

We played the course a year ago and it was nice. It’s a good layout, but the greens were half dead, the rough dry, and pace of play slow.

Greens are not very good,,, looks like they are burned out.,

The course layout is very nice even though it needs a little love. Service was minimal (no ride from parking lot, no drink cart after 2.30pm, no water stations) which in this climate can be dangerous.

Just wasn't that great. Use to be much better course and was maintained. Not so much anymore.

Brown fairways, greens that were just so so. Not a true palm desert course. If you don't mind a little drive, Eagle Falls in Indio is great. And reasonable..

Great course, but the level of maintenance is down from last year. The greens were in quite rough shape on some holes. Still an enjoyable round and good value.

Love the design of this course - truth be told I just went back to try to shoot better than 7 on #14.

Sadly the greens are in bad shape, and the bunkers are worse. The sand is more like coarse gravel.

Great range.

Returned to one of our favorite layouts in Palm Springs. Fairways were fine but Bermuda rough was sparse to bare and greens were in horrible shape with little to no grass in spots. Ranger told us the result of a warm winter but everywhere else in the area greens are great. A notification at booking or on website or Golfnow would be nice.
