Nice course in fair condition

Really enjoyed the course. Played two early morning rounds while visiting the resort with my family. Not long and fairly generous off the tee but smaller greens with run offs and bunkering will test you, not to mention the classic Pete Dye railroad ties that come into play with water on a number of holes. The greens were in good shape but very slow (however I will give them a break given the temperatures at this time of year). I paid under $60 through GolfNow vs $90 rack rate and $49 for rentals which were a decent set of Srixon woods and irons with Cleveland 56 degree and putter. Overall I would recommend as an enjoyable resort course.

Great layout.. needs more water.

Enjoyed the course design and layout very much! Course is showing the "heat" of summer and needs more water and attention.

This little gem

I play once a month in Palm Springs when I travel to California, trying to hit a different course every month. So there are a few moments in a your golf life when you say wow!!! and this is one. Absolutely beautiful course, the staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast burrito was amazing and again this darn course was just fantastic. I was shocked there wasn't more folks there as it was a great experience. Highly recommend!

Excellent choice for Palm Springs in summer

My wife and I were paired with a local resident who was a delight to play with. The round was fun in any case but he made it considerably more enjoyable. Driving range balls and cart were included with the greens fee. The electric carts were fairly new and equipped with GPS. We started on time and finished in four hours twenty minutes. Fairways were in good shape, a few brown spots but overall very good, especially for late August in the desert. Greens were ok, slow but with few if any brown spots. Traps were generally very good. The excellent layout consists of a nice mix of lengths (black, gold, silver and jade tees,) water hazards, doglegs and trees. The temperature was in the high 80s late morning to mid/high 90s by mid-afternoon and cloudless skies. The GPS on the carts chimes when approaching a water station or bathroom so you can't miss it. What a nice touch! It's difficult to say too many good things about this course -- we really enjoyed it. My wife and I definitely recommend it to all looking for a nice golf experience. We will return to play it again.

Great time

I happened to get a super cheap rate and went off by myself didn't catch anyone til the 5th hole and it was a twosome . But I just felt like hanging back and taking my time. Also the drink cart found me twice in the first 6 holes so that's always a good thing on a hot day. Thanks

Sommer fun

Because it was summer the course was very uncrowded. It felt like our own private golf course. Layout is forgiving but challenging. The only reason I didn’t give this course 5 stars is becaus these are the slowest greens i think i have ever played. I will definitely return but will allow more time on the practice green to get used to the slower speed. Fun round at our own pace.

Rude staff. Greens are like fairways

After 10 years of using Golf Now this is my first and only review. I played the Mission Hills Pete Dye course today. Here is my review … first, let’s start with pro shop staff. Young lady who assisted us was as cold as ice. Saturday morning at 6:25am so maybe she was out late last night but attitude was as rude as can be. Huge turn off. Second: the course. The fairways were in rough shape and understandable given the heat (106 degrees today) but the greens were AS SLOW AS FAIRWAYS. I cannot emphasize this enough that the greens were in both very rough shape and about a 4 on the stimp. We decided it was appropriate to do automatic 2-putts because it was a joke. Literally a total joke and mess. I would be embarrassed if I represented this golf course. Pace of play was excellent. No cart or snack carts. Bunkers were unraked, this is the true definition of a “resort course”. I give 0.75 stars out of 5.
