Entirely too windy to justify a fair evaluation, but the fairways could be improved upon. Avoid course on windy, desert days.

We enjoyed the course layout. The wind gradually increased over the day to being almost unplayable at the end. I would love to go back on a calmer day and play again. Overall a nice layout.

Fun to play and well maintained. Greens are fast and true.

Snow birders from Canada here. We got lucky with a calm day and really enjoyed the round. The greens and fairways are in great shape, but the bunkers have 1” of sand in them, the rough and outer areas of the course are patchy with low mown weeds (visually let’s the course down) but doesn’t really effect the playability. Greens were slick and firm! Tough to hold and I found them tough to read. They are tiered greens kinda elevated and protected by collection areas (Gary Player) but very playable. Going to play again in 3 days, should eliminate a couple 3 putts I had. Hopefully wind will be down. Driving range is great and you get balls included! There’s not much else there, just the pro shop, and a coffee shop-like restaurant that close early. You might be disappointed as you enter the parking lot, but the golf course is why you’re there and it’s worth a play at the right price.

Immaculate conditions. Plays well for high and low handicaps, Best bunker sand yet, as I hit into a few of them. My only issue was the hard greens, but they rolled true. Kudos to the cart girl who we saw 4 times. Great service and communication from all staff.

I’ve played here numerous times and unfortunately the course condition has gone down hill. Fairways very spotty and too much sand in fairway bunkers. (I know, shouldn’t be there in first place.) Greens rolled pretty well but seriously fast.

You really have to like Pete Dye courses to play here.

First time playing the course. The wind really picked up but that just added a little more challenge to the round. First, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The course is challenging but forgiving on missed shots in the fairways. Outside the fairway is dry and most holes have hills on the sides so even if you don’t hit the fairway, there is a good chance of it rolling back down. The fairways and greens are nice but quite firm. Hard to hold the ball on the greens but running up or landing on front of greens, recommended. Course is showing signs of warmer weather and windy conditions. Overall, really fun round and good experience.

Wonderful Staff

Tee markers are lame. Difficult to pick out when driving to the tee box.

Some were metal that were turned in a direction that was hard to see.

Some were rocks, not consistent throughout the course.

Seems like decent size painted rocks would be an easy solution.

Wouldn't have to be fancy, just brightly painted rocks consistent on all the holes.
