The staff is super friendly and the fairways are so so. But the greens are in total neglect

The green fees are cheap for a reason the greens are ridiculous with potholes and chunks missing out of the green impossible to put on fairways are full of dirt sand and rocks this course shouldn’t even be open to the public save your money book a nice course

Booked a 4some at a low rate. What that got the group was sub par service and greens that looked as if proper maintenance and chemical treatment were outlawed. For obvious reasons we were the only group in the clubhouse to check in and pay. We were then asked for proof of payment outside as we walked out with a staff member who was behind the desk when we paid. We made it through 12 holes with a 2 putt rule as all greens had rot and chunks out of them. Couldn’t find a line to putt on. The “greens under repair” sign on the first hole should have read “greens under destruction”. Hit the 13th hole and there was another 4some who clearly never played before. Buzzed past them and finished quickly. More than happy to play again when they hire groundskeepers.

A wonderful and friendly staff will greet and help you check in. A charming and pleasant cart girl has all of the drinks, snacks and sandwiches you’ll need. Unfortunately the rest is a disaster. This former great course is now a beat up dirt track. Bring a shovel instead of a putter on most greens. If your paying more than $25, I’ve got a bridge in NY I’d like to sell you. Put some significant money into this former jewel, or the bulldozers.

Challenging golf course.. The gardeners are inattentive and disturb.

Bonaventure was a golf course that you had to make a tee time weeks in advance. But yesterday when I played there I was very disappointed. What used to be a marquee golf course has now become one of the worst courses in south Florida. From tee to green there was not a patch of grass that was in good condition. After the first hole I should’ve drove back to the club house and turned in my keys! And more importantly let them keep my money so hopefully one day bonaventure will again be a great place to play.

Definitely not worth the $50 regular price, greens are the worst I've seen in Broward County. I suspect the owners have plans to convert the course to housing like they did with the other 18 so they have given up on maintaining the course.

This was once a championship course with a routing to match, with many water hazards in play. Elevated greens and many risk reward holes. beautiful old trees, many birds and waterfowl. The routing remains, but the conditioning is poor. Weeds and bare spots mar the greens which were spongy. No putt is true. Large leafed Bermuda grass predominates on the fairways and rough. Many poor lies on the fairways due to bare spots. Sand traps and tees need to be refurbished/reclaimed. The putting green was mostly dirt. The practice area, which previously was well maintained and featured hitting floater balls into a pond, was not open. On the bright side, the place was mainly deserted and the price was cheap. Very friendly staff. Great opportunity for a bitcoin billionaire to buy a course and restore it to its natural beauty. A great place to work on your long game/shot-making, but forget about a serious match, unless you like potluck on the greens.

The course layout is awesome. But the greens fairways no good at all

This course was disappointing. It may have been a very nice course 10 years ago, but the conditions (fairways and greens) are poor now..The surface of the moon was smoother than some of the greens. It did have a nice waterfall par 3 with many iguanas around the green.

i played here a couple years ago, the greens were a lot better than now.
