Needs some love
Really nice layout BUT the greens are some of the worst I’ve ever played and fairways in desperate need of water. Would be a great course with some maintenance.
So bad
Tee boxes and greens were atrocious. Don’t think I would play there if it was free
Criminal
There should be a law against letting a course with such a great layout get into the condition this course is in. Tee to green , bad.
Needs work - or at least water
Grounds staff were pleasant . Fairways were dried out and the greens were also dried out. Appears they were being worked on. Price was ok and pace was no issue since my twosome pretty much had the course to ourselves. Quite a few of the holes wrapped around water. Could have used some large red stakes to show water ahead. On the other hand, the ball rolled a long way. Potential to be a nice course is there - I just wonder if they were in off-season mode. .
Condos are coming
Too bad this beautiful layout will be turned into condos , loved the layout and scenery; too bad the maintenance is purposely being neglected
Staff was fantastic
Tee box was fair at best
Fairways are ok condition
Greens were horrible
Will not play again
Possibilities
Most of the greens are blotchy.. They have several bare spots that are filled in with the green fertilizer. Hopefully this will help to improve the greens. The fairways are wide and forgiving for the most part. There is a lot of water and if you hit any where close your ball will roll into the water because all the fairways slop yo the water. In quite a spots on the fairways and around the greens are clumpy. Several tee boxes are very sandy.
Despite the above mentioned items the course is challenging for the average player and they can have an enjoyable day of golf.
The worst course I have ever played
I play golf four days a week. Boneventure was in the worst condition of any golf course I have ever played! I don’t even know where to begin. From tee to green there were bare places, every kind of weed you can imagine, and truly the putting green was un-playable with caverns that truly make those greens not even capable of being fixed!
Save your money and go someplace else!
Should be called Bonaventure Lakes
I loved this course. It’s adequately challenging for all levels of play. Unfortunately the greens were in poor condition, some were being aerated. Hopefully they can fix them up because that was the only flaw. In fact there were 2 greens that were in absolute beautiful condition. Perhaps a sign of whats to come? Anyway, there’s a ton of water, EVERYWHERE. Bring a dozen balls. I thoroughly enjoyed my round. I’ll be back.
Greens and rough need help!
I have played this course many times. I like the layout. My primary complaints are that the greens are in absolutely terrible condition and the rough is too rough. You can be 12 inches off the fairway a completely lose your ball.
If you play in the afternoon it’s a decent value. If you play in the morning and pay $50 or more it is not a good value.
Hopeful
This course used to be such a pleasure to play. It became almost unplayable and I vowed never to return. A fellow golfer told me it was getting better. I decided to give it another try. I was pleasantly surprised at the shape it was in. Even the waterfall was working. There is still a lot of improvement needed but it seems to be making a comeback.
Greens were in terrible condition
Course is in bad condition and Greens unplayable YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR not even worth $39 Hot Deal
HOT DEAL Only
This was my first time playing here. Course is a fairly tough track for a mid handicapper and up, due to narrow landing areas and plenty of water. Some of the greens were burnt up but staff did a good job placing pins in areas where you could putt. Canteen wasn’t open and the cart girl, who we only seen on the back, only accepted cash. For $34 with a cart, this is an ok deal
