Bonaventure Resort & Spa

This course had improved so much after years of decline. However sadly I'll not be paying $60 under the current conditions. Greenside is now the rough. Greens are back to being barely mediocre. Fairways are still good but 4 tee boxes are under repair and prices are still high.

These course was once in such good shape lately it seems they have scaled back on keeping it up. The fairway was bumper an some areas uncut. The grass around the greens were more than any course that I seen for a long time.

the owners have invested a lot of resources into improving this course. I would have given higher marks if there were not three temporary tee boxes. Looking forward to those getting fixed. The course played well.

Small golf shop wasn’t bad very friendly people. Carts were in great shape and they were electric and fancy. Driving range wasn’t bad, hitting off a mat into the water. Chipping area and putting area are far from each other in different locations.For beginner golfers this is a challenging course. (Not recommend for beginners). Fairways and greens were in pretty great shape. The waterfall wasn’t on when I played. Bunkers were in good condition not to soft not to hard, as for the Rough it had been raining a lot (can’t blame the course) only a few areas had grass like 6 inches max.

The fact they charge you full Price yet the course could be mistaken for a swamp. Given it rain the night before, but the drainage is atrocious. The pace of play was terrible. Marshall don’t do anything about it. The grass itself is overgrown their signature hole so call waterfall has zero waterfall. There’s just nothing good about this course compared to the cheaper comparable courses in the area that have better amenities better condition, especially drainage.

I enjoy playing golf at Bonaventure, but the course was quite wet and sluggish this past weekend. It didn’t feel right to be charged full price under those conditions.

Greens were really good , deep ruff challenging, over all great course from what it was 8 months ago

Want to start off with the positive, the staff was very polite and friendly but that might be the only positive...$70 to play this track is overpriced for sure! Description of the course talks about the "waterfall hole" there was no water for the waterfall lol, the tee box on that hole is a driving range mat. Description says carts with gps, there were no carts with gps! My buddy was told at the turn they would give the food he wanted to the cart girl & she would bring the food he wanted to him, when we seen her she wasnt even told or givin such food. (She was great all day and had a great personality). Fairsways either were overgrown with patches of grass in the middle of fairways so it was like rough and the rough was overgrown to the point where you couldnt find your ball, wont be back

First time playing this course. The staff was very friendly. There was even a cart girl on a Tuesday. She was fantastic and had.l a great selection of drinks. The front 9 floods, it had been raining heavily all weekend and with this course being close to the Everglades there’s not much drainage. Keep that in mind if it’s rained recently. It was muddy and very wet. Back 9 was a bit better as it had higher elevation. The layout is fun and had some challenging hole. Overall value for money was great I got a hot deal for 35$ at 10am

The overall course conditions are improving. However, the greens are too slow for me. If they make the greens faster, I would be a frequent player here due to the course's good layouts.

5.5 hour rounds because the ranger is too lazy to do his job. Course is in bad shape.. there are many more courses in the area that offer better value. Avoid this course if you have any other options

Staff was extremely friendly, from the front desk check-in to the cart girl. Due to some rain earlier in the day there was some muddy locations, and the bunkers were pretty rough. However the fairways/greens for the most part are very playable and they are making improvements on some tee boxes. I would give Bonaventure a 3.75/5 Stars due to tough patches of grass and dirt throughout some holes but I will definitely play again for $30 with the hot deal on GN.
