The greens are in bad shape!!!!!
The first green on the Royal course VERY bad shape!!!
The green on the palm are just ok!!
The is NOT a good value for the price!! It’s not worth!!
Beats working
A fair golfing challenge. The fairways are okay but the greens are in bad shape.
I love the fact there are 3 courses
The staff are great specially the starter, good attitude!
Improving Comditions
I’ve played here a few times in the the couple months and the greens have been horrible. I was so sad to see such a great course in such disrepair. I played here the other day just working on my irons and I was surprised at the change on the greens. I only had a real issue with a handful of greens the others were getting better. They are trying and I really love the layout of this course. It’s challenging and forces me to reach deep into my bad to find the right club. Whatever they are doing here it seems to be working. I see a great future here if they continue in the course they are on.
It's been 7 years
We vacation in South Florida and have played Grand Palms many times, however not for the past 7 years. We played Royal/Sabal. The appears to have fallen on hard times. We did not see any signs of care, or maintenance. The Tee Boxes were beat up, fairways were dry and hard and greens were in horrible condition. The greens were sparce and had more bare spots than grass. The grass that was there seemed to be uncut. We did not notice any maintenance staff, which was unusual. We were so disappointed. To take green fees without warning of condition seems wrong. I hope they recover.
It’s ok for price
It kind of baffles me how immaculate the tea boxes are on 95% of the holes yet the greens look like they have been abandoned and forgotten about everything else was great other then the greens
The greens are terrible, but the rest is great.
The courses here would be amazing if the greens were not in such bad shape. There are mini bunkers scatters through the greens. It makes putting not even worth it, just strait randomness with the ball bouncing everywhere.
Greens are in extremely poor conditions
I have not played this course in quite a few years. I used to like the course. The good was the pace of play as there were very few people on the course so easily finished in about 3 hours. The bad were there greens. It is impossible to play them. They have blotches, bald spots, overgrowth and fungus everywhere. You basically have to play to the green and pick up...
Greens were horrible
The course itself was ok but the greens were horrible. Bare patches uncut speed varied no consistency. Sabal was worse than Grand.
I don’t expect to play here again unless conditions improve.
Discourse is awful. The greens are horrendous.
Who’s ever taken care of of this course needs to be fired? it is over watered and it has mildew and fungus on the greens. I
