Unplayable
This golf course win the first prize for the most ugly golf course ever. They should be a shame to be open and not leting their client know about the very poor condition of their course. And Golf Now should not sell to their client this course.
Good bones. Awful complexion
This course @ bare bones has great potential however, the geeens…my god the GREENS are God awful!! On 17 out of 18 holes you’re putting on more sand than grass. Completely unacceptable and unplayable.
Course Condition
Very poor course condition. Greens were not in good shape not much grass. looks like they are trying to fix however they simply need new greens.
Terrible Greens
The greens on the Royal Course were in terrible condition. More sand than grass.
Awful
They should close this course until they have the time and the money to make it playable. Worse greens that we ever played on. If they paid me to play there I would say no thank you. Lots of people working on the course but not doing the things that really mattered.. the bunkers were better than the greens. Hardly any grass on the greens only dirt and sand.
Unplayable Greens
There is literally no grass in the greens. Unplayable and did not get warned of the conditions of the course.
On top of incredibly slow play. Will never come back here and recommend not going. It’s cheap but not worth the money even.
Course is in horrendous condition, more sand on the greens than grass. Only warning for ongoing work on the greens was a sign posted on your way to the cart area, so after you pay. No rain checks given either, even though there’s no warning for how terrible the greens are.
Not asking for PGA conditions, just normal, playable conditions for the golf season especially in Florida this time of year.
Terrible Greens
Most courses give a heads up when the greens are being worked on. Neither the app nor the course said anything. This was a terrible experience.
A little heads up would’ve been nice
I booked this as a hot deal earlier in the week and was excited to play here. Unlike every other course that states the greens are being worked on, this course didn’t give that heads up. These greens were horrendous and made for an awful day of putting.
I’m not a professional by any means and we would’ve probably still played had we had a heads up. They didn’t have it in the description nor did they say anything at the desk. No signs posted, NOTHING!
Awful
I’ve been playing here for years but I have never seen such terrible conditions
The greens are not green. More dirt than grass
I hope they get it together because it’s a great place to play
putting on mud!
The coffee shop was open but no attendee, she was on the course and was the only service person
The course was in such bad shape the greens were just packed mud and most of the fairways we sparsely covered with weeds
It would not be acceptable as a unmanaged public lark, forget about a golf course.
It took us over 2-1/2 hours to play 9, and we left after that
play here a few years ago and it was perfectly fine, have no clue what happened
Do not pay over $25
I wish I would have taken photos. The greens.........EVERY GREEN...........are not green. They are compacted hard dirt/mud. The good thing about it is the putts were rolling fairly true LOL. Imagine putting on linoleum in your kitchen......a little sticky, not as slick as tile floor, but similar.
