Enjoyable round on a very good course
Played as twosome. Pace was very good (3 3/4h). Course is in rather good condition. Greens, fairways, bunkers and tee boxes well playable.
what a horrible experience
in Orlando for a golf vacation, Staying on property was told this is a nice course, I could not disagree more.
1. You had to play the front 9 twice as the back was closed
2. Greens were in horrible condition. weeds all over the green.
3 No prior warning about the condition of the course
4. Staff was completly disintrested in being freindly or helpfull
5. The resturant was close so you could not get food.
6 No starter or rangers.
This was the worst golf experience i have ever had in Orlando. There are way to many good courses to waist you time or money on this one.
I can never get this vacation day back!
No food no back nine and weedy greens
I arrived at the course to find the back nine was closed and we’d only okay the front nine (twice). Greens had weeds growing in them that severely effected the surface. This course has no bar or food service unless you like crisps and peanuts at 8:00am.
That all said the the nine holes I played twice were interesting and challenging but I was disappointed not seeing what the back nine was like. The greens were slow compared to other courses ibrdvfntlg played. As a single I was able to get round very quickly in about 2.5 hours only having to go through 3-4 groups. There was a drink cart circulating but limited snacks. No coffee :-(
I’d probably come and play here again if I knew the course was fully open.
Legends course
It was fine. Course not crowded but play was slow. Greens still showing effects of aerification
Petesstuff
Greens were recently punched and sanded over. Made putting a little more challenging. Everything else was super.
Orange Legends
Good Value for the Course which was in reasonable good condition as it had recently had seen the Greens undergo the normal seasonal maintenance.
But disappointed with Course Service. Not instructed we where supposed to T off on the 10th and had already started when I had to go back a resume on the 10th.
No body at the Bag drop or Starter point. Staff bot interested the Pro Shop.
Not very American
Great weekend
We had a large group of players for the holiday weekend, and everything was great! The staff at the course took great care of us! Everyone is friendly, and we were constantly being checked on to make sure all was going well. The course was in great shape! This was our 2nd year here, and we will continue to go back!
Wide faraway, but the course is very challenging. The water hazards are well located and maintained.
Faraway is wide, but, the course is challenging. The water hazards are well land tactically located. Bunkers and greens are also well maintained. I would like to try again here.
A great course once!
I have been an owner at Orange Lake since this course opened in 1998. When it was built, the great Arnold Palmer put his touch and created a layout that was signature Arnie. Unfortunately, those left to tend to his vision have either chosen to disgrace Mr Palmer, or were and are incompetent to bring it back to its pristine beginnings. I bought at Orange Lake to specifically have the chance to play this course, but over the last 10+ years I refused to even try. As one person noted, there are people playing the course without shirts and have probably never touched a golf club. A course that should require a $100+ green fee can be had for $20 these days. Don't waste your money! There are many better courses in Orlando@
Great deal close to Disney
Got a great deal as a single on GolfNow for the first tee time at 7am on a Saturday! I really enjoyed this course. Considering all the rain this season, it was very playable. Greens were slower than I like, but they are in great shape. Fun layout with no houses in site. It’s just as good as the Disney courses at a better price.
Don’t waste your money
Overall horrible experience. Show up to the course, guy in shop acted like he would rather be at the dentist. Asked for range balls, this is when we find out range is closed. Then he tells us it’s cart path only. I asked if there would be a beverage cart on the course, dude replies “probably”. Nope no beverage cart. Had to skip group in front of us because it was obviously 1st time on a golf course. Wearing swimming trunks and tank tops. Unbelievable. It’s a shame because it’s a cool little track where your iron game is tested.
Need To Play This One
Very good layout - variety of clubs needed. Greens were a little slow probably still recovering from the recent punching. I would encourage you to play this one if in Orlando.
Ok but a bit overpriced
Decent enough course. Greens were recently scarified and were very slow. Rolled niceenough though. Course is an ok resort course but plenty better in the area I would suggest.
Would play it again if price was right
Great course play to slow
Great course to play!
They need a range to keep slow players on track and must pair up 2 and single players !
5:30 is too long waiting at every shot!
Legend!!
From the time you pull up the staff are friendly and helpful! The course was in good nick, pity the greens was a bit on the slow side, but that’s due to all the rain. Overall great experience playing the course for the first time!!! Company was also world class
