Nice course to play
Had a good time playing this course. My wife and I went out and played in just over 4 hours. Really liked the back nice with water in play on many holes.
Nice pro shop and bar to buy a few things after the round.
Needs pictorial description on score card lots of doglegs no picture blind shots
Nice Day on Fairways
Very good layout and great facility. Play this course if you are in Orlando area. Very close to Disney. John in lounge is really great fun.
Little pricey so we have to catch the deals.
One of our favorites to play while we are in the area. Play at least 4-5 times when we can find it under $50 to play.
Grab a Player's yardage card
Hi. Had a great day on the Reserve course. For first time players, the scorecard does not have a map of the course. No GPS on the carts and no signs either on the tees. So...be sure to grab a players yardage card in the Pro Shop. There are hidden hazards out there. Thanks for a fun time.
GREAT TEST OF GOLF
Fantastic golf course. Fairways were good, greens were in great shape and putted very true. The staff were all great and ready to help make your day very enjoyable!!! I will definitely play this course again!!! I will also recommend this course to all my Canadian friends!! A must play !!!
Classic FLA Golf
Nice course in Orange Lake resort. Was leery about the comments about conditions, but saw no course issues anywhere. Pace started well, then slowed, then crawled. (Kind of like the cart, that died after 9 holes.) A bit pricy perhaps, but if you don't pay then maybe the course conditions aren't what they should be.
Under the Lights: Fun and Weirdness
Had rarely played par-3 courses and never under the lights. Had great time with both. Legends Walk is a pretty stout par-3 layout with several holes 190 yards +. Takes a while to get used to the nighttime conditions. Greens are understandably small and fairly level. Great walk and would definitely do it again.
Quibbles: Some lighting isn't great including where trees block them. [Prune] With holes winding among condos, in the dark not always easy to find next hole. [Add signage] Encountered one guy using a green for chipping practice (picked up my ball) and drunk trio playing corn-hole on another (really!). [Security!]
5 hours + round
Pace was extremely slow. Group in front of use quit after 12 holes. It takes only 1 slow group to tie up the whole course. Greens were fast and in good condition, fairways and Tees not so much. Looks like brand new carts.
Not the best course at Orange Lake...but still worth playing
The Legends course is the nicer course (although if you see my review on that...it was not a pleasant experience!) We played this course early in the morning to start our 36 hole day. It is a nice course to start your day. It is not too terribly difficult and it plays pretty short. Although it is short it can play difficult due to good bunker and water placement. All in all we enjoyed our morning here. It is not the best and it is far from the worst course we have ever played in Orlando. We would come back here for sure.
Nice Course...Miserable Pace of Play
We have played here in the past....it has been several years. I am pretty sure the last couple time we played we played the course in the morning. This time it was part of our 36 hole day paired with the Reserve Course at Orange Lake so we went off around 1:30. This was a painfully slow round of golf. 5:45 minutes...this is embarrassing for any golf course. We saw the range 2 times...he never stopped and just appeared as if he was out for a joy ride on his cart without a care in the world. It is really a shame because the course is actually quite nice. Very well maintained and a great layout.
They also ran into issues this day with the number of golf carts. We waited along with several other groups before we could tee off because they did not have carts to give us. (I have never heard or seen anything like it).
I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to play especially if you are playing here in the afternoon. Speaking with a group that was going off behind us they had been there for a few days that week and played in the afternoon every day and said this was a common occurrence.
Great shape and lines up nicely.
Played this course for thw first time. Front nine plays shorter than back and perfect for an entire round. It gets you warmed up good. Looks very open but you will lose a few balls if you are not careful to place the ball. Tricky and fun. We played as a foursome and we were impressed and will be back. Great guy in the proshop easy in and out well organized.
This is a nice course. Fairways had some bare spot s but overall a good course.however 6 hours is way too long to play a game of golf and for that reason I would not recommend it unless you have all the time in the world. I am told that they were putting out replays and that slowed it down. We did not see a Marshal the whole day and the group in front was extremely slow. There are a lot of courses just as nice and can be played in roughly 4:30 minutes.
