bigdees
Course in above average condition for Fl. Good staff. Had a great time. Course was fair and challenging. Greens in good condition, especially for Fl.
Enjoyed the day
Pace of play is my only disappointment. Course in real good condition staff great fun to play. I will be back
A Good Test of Your Game
Fairly tight, well turfed fairways with bunkers and water strategically placed for a good risk/reward dynamic from the tees. Fast, multi-tiered greens coupled with diabolical pin placements made putting a game within itself. Pars here are celebrated for the average golfer while birdies are a ‘thing to behold’. The Market Place offers plenty to start your round but a 19th Hole would be a nice finish to debate what could have been on your card over a beer. The staff is cordial, accommodating and educated in the choreography of getting golfers to the first tee on time. Can’t wait to get back to avenge the 5 Putt “10” I took on 16 over the water!
Fair price and a nice course layout
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course layout is interesting if slightly flawed on a couple of holes. There is a par 3 where you must return to the tee to get to the next hole. That is both dangerous and there is not enough room to pass the waiting golfers. Another hole has very poor signing for the white and longer tees. Otherwise, it was a nice track. Our group would give it an overall 3, not 4 star rating. The standard fee is fair for this course. It was a fun day and the greens were very nice with consistent speed from hole to hole.
A good way to spend the afternoon
I enjoyed my round at the Reserve at Orange Lake. The layout is excellent with a wide variety of holes. The course always seems to be in great shape and well maintained. Will definitely play it again.
Completely Overated
Staff were unfriendly from the start Pro Shop were rude Bag guys were rude, starter was ok. The pace of play was pathetic took over 5 hours behind 1 three ball that looked as if they had never played before. No Marshall's to be seen at all a complete discrace to the Legend that is Arnold Palmer.
We travelled from the UK and love golf in Florida but would not play here again if it was free
Close to Kissimmee, but not ideal.
Houses everywhere. It would be nice to clean up the garbage on some holes.
Water, water everywhere
Nice course with a really nice layout and lots of water to stay away from - nice, fast greens too !
Bring a map and a compass
A very difficult course to find your way around. It is located in Orange Lake Resort. Once you get inside the resort, there are no signs which show you where the Reserve course is located. Once you finally find it in a building entitled "Marketplace", you then have to find your way 100 yards past a number of buildings and condos, with signage at a minimum, to get to first tee . You are given no course map, and no layout of each hole on the scorecard. It gets worse. There was a card on the overhead dash showing pin placements. However, the ACTUAL pin placements have no relation to what is shown on the card. When I questioned the starter about this at the turn, he said: "Well, maintenance puts the pins wherever they want to." WHAT!!! It paid $51 for this round and they can't even get the pins in the right places on the greens! Because there's a lot of hidden traps, lakes, ditches, etc..., it's pretty hard to know where to hit the ball unless you play there a lot since you have no course layout. Also, the course is surrounded by timeshare condos, many of which are too close to the course.
Spend your $50 at a better course.
Another Great Day at Orange Lake Legends
With so many courses full this time of year it was a comforting & pleasant surprise to get a decent tee time at OL. I just played there a couple of months ago so wasn't looking to return on that 1 3/4 hr trip but the course never lets me down so I couldn't pass it up. Once more conditions were excellent, staff was great and the weather was the best in over a month. Take a ride out to Legends and enjoy all that they offer. Golf in Florida,in the winter, isn't much better than this.
Challenging executive course
Lots of water and swampy rough to catch your errant shots.
Good and great shots are rewarded!
Sand traps were great and played well.
Overall a fun and challenging course.
A Little Gem Near Disney
This course is very nice and challenging for an executive type layout. The course has six par threes and three par fours. The surrounding area has abundant wildlife and nice scenery. The greens, bunkers and fairways are well maintained. If your short on time and want to play a quick round, this would be the course. The course winds through the Holiday Inn Vacation Club Villas.
This is a nice course, some challenging hole, but pace of play is usually way too slow.
Played as a single due to weather issues so pace of play was good, early am, course looked pretty crowded later, the legends course is much better but staff is nonexistent at both. This is a difficult course to find and check in, seems like these 2 courses at orange lake were run by junior golfers
Tight lies.
The course was in pretty good shape. The fairways are very tight. The greens rolled very well about a 10. The front nine is much more open than the back nine. Today the pins we tucked on the edges of every green making an up and down tough if u missed on the short side. Bunkers are in good shape.
Orange Lake Legends
Great variety of holes, lots of water, fast greens and well placed bunkers. Greenskeeper has done a wonderful job. To score I need to think my way around this course. From the right tees this course will be a fair test of golf for each level of golfer. Great day of golf with two new friends from Ohio.
Orange Lake
Very fair course. Nice layout. Starter friendly and helpful. Range balls a bit of a problem, but worked it out. Would definitely play again.
Very nice layout
Excellent course,nice fairways and greens.
You won’t be disappointed playing this course.
