JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort

The course has a challenging layout. This was my first time here and I would like to play it again as I gained some insight on how to play certain holes. The golf course has some maintenance issues. While greens are well maintained, some fairways are wet (I think that it is a drainage problem) and the others are hard and dry. The staff are super friendly.

The course is in excellent condition. The staff are super friendly. The pace of the play was a little slow due to the heavy play. I would play it again and recommend.

We had serious reservations when we arrived as an outing of about 50 people was preparing to start. The pro shop staff checked us in and said that it shouldn't be a problem. The practice area was excellent, the starter was very friendly and helpful, and we actually started a few minutes early. We did not see members of the outing and had a great round. Scenery was beautiful, and the numerous tee box options allowed our wives to enjoy the round also.

We loved the layout, a challenge yet fair and playable for all levels of golfer. Pristine fairways and great true running greens, a friendly welcome and not at all crowded, will definitely play again

The course is fairly tight and is mature. We played better tracks for the same cost.(TPC Treviso Bay)

Fabulous golf course minutes from Marco Island . One of the best in Naples Area .

Most holes have abundant fairways and several have elevated greens....water in play on several holes as well... nice mix keeps the course interesting....all in all, a nice mix of holes with greens that ran at about 10.0....course in great shape!

The course offers wide landing areas for your tee shot if you play off the tee suited to your distance. Greens were very fast, but fun as a challenge.

Nice layout with nice variety of holes. Course was in nice shape. The greens were receptive yet moderate in speed. The course is well routed thru the homes. The course was pretty with abundant floral varieties present. Would highly recommend this course.

Very hot day but we thoroughly enjoyed playing the ourse.

Wow this is a great course. I was sold before we got to the first tee. They had water, tees, towels, etc in the cart and then we saw the in cart GPS that hole flyovers and gps to the pin. That was an awesome touch. The practice area was nice with several different putting areas for busier times. We had the opportunity to play this course when they just rolled the fairways literally an hour before our tee off. The course looked amazing and was a great value thanks to golfnow.

Loved the course. It was fair and very well maintained. The greens and fairways were immaculate. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to play in the area.

When researching golf courses in the Naples/SW Fla. region, The Rookery continually receives high praise and many writers rank it extremely high when compared to many of its fantastic regional peers. To start, the staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. The course on the other hand was nothing special....at all. Being from Miami, I drive to SW FL often to play golf courses that are embedded in nature and not surrounded by high rises or housing communities. The Rookery is surrounded by homes on roughly 70% of it's 18 holes and beyond that, the course simply is not well groomed. The layout is mediocre at best, and the architecture is extremely boring. If you are looking for a decent course to play and The Rookery is conveniently located, then it will work out just fine. But if you are trying to decide what Naples or SW FL course to choose, I would not even keep The Rookery in your consciousness. You can't go wrong with TPC Treviso Bay or Old Corkscrew.

I would recommend this course to a friend but tell them to avoid it if there has recently been rainy days. A number of the holes are JUST beautiful to look at and play but one major problem was the grounds were WET! Walking in the fairway was an adventure. I wasn't sure if I was going to leave a shoe behind a number of times. In fairness ther has been a good bit of rain recently. Would love to play again when the conditions are dryer.

Granted we were only a twosome but we played in 2 1/2 hours , course was in fabulous shape , greens were exceptional , I highly recommend this track to anyone , we played the back tees and found it very challenging , lots of water to navigate and plenty of well placed bunkers , add the slippery greens to this and it was a great day of golf , we for sure will be returning ,thanks goes to proshop and to golfnow , I hope more reviews are written because this was one great day !!!
