Very luxery course
A fantastisch course, but unfortunately it Starts raining after 3 holes. We got a raincheck for the Rookery of Marco Island course, we played two dass later, because of maintainance in Hammock Bay. Both course are belonging to the Mariot Hotel. They Exchange staff. All are Super friedly. We realy recomend both courses.
Stunning layout, bring your A game!
Beautiful course, slightly wet but thats SWFL this time of year. Staff was great, all around great golfclub..We will be back!
Very good holiday experiences
Our first golf course played in Naples and if the rest are as good as this we will be very happy. The staff were excellent and made us welcome from the start. We both play off single figures and found it a very good test of golf.
The fairways were generous and the greens fast and true. An uphill putt was a must.
Overall a good course and one which I would have no hesitation in recommending to other golf ears
Nice Resort Course
So this is my 2nd time playing here in about a week. I came back simply because I got rained out on 17 the last time I was here.
This course from the tips provides a lot of challenges off the tee, a few blind shots and tight landing areas.
The greens were receptive and rolled pretty true, only a few have minor patches of ground that need some attention. Since it does run through some wetland, after rain the course gets very damp and doesn't drain too well.
Overall this is a nice place to experience Naples golf, and can be a fun test for any skill level. Staff is friendly, practice facility is very nice and well maintained as well. The only negative is there is no stopping at the turn... so if the cart girl isn't out you are stuck on your own with the water provided at the comfort stations.
Very friendly staff and beautiful course.
The course was in great shape, especially considering the amount of rain the area has had recently. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back in a couple of months.
Excellent features and fair layout
Nice landing areas with some holes where position on the fairway matters. Greens were receptive, true and quick but not blazing fast. Plenty of water hazards but have to be pretty wild to find many of them.
Nice course
Great course with outstanding facilities for practice and other activities at the course. Very well maintained given the amount of rain here recently. All amenities are top notch.
Tough course for high handicapper
Beautiful course very well maintained with all the rain here recently, just tough for high handicapper, as if a ball goes one foot out of rough it is gone. Although they had fantastic practice facilities. Recommend this course for low handicap players, not so much for high handicappers. Unusual thing about this course is there is no turn, just one big loop.
Great to look at, muddy to play
First of let me say, this course has a really good layout and is a nice test from the tips. That said, here's the rest of the review:
I'm really not sure why it wasn't cart path only the day I played. Very little of the fairway was firm. Very soggy and cart tracks all over reflected that. We were told to drive in the rough, which was a good start, but it wasn't enforced. The group ahead of us was all over the fairways and made a huge wreck most of the landing areas.
Playing lift clean and place made it managable, however the greens were rather bumpy. For a resort course I expected a little more (seeing as the prime rates are extremely high.)
Lastly, for a wildlife preserve area, there was little to no wildlife around. The views on the course were nice, but I think it's a little over priced for how it is maintained.
On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and not pushy about pairing people together. The practice facility and clubhouse areas are immaculate. Great place to visit, even if you only go once.
Nice but wet!
Due to the amount of rain, the range was closed and the course was "cart path only." That added considerable time to the round but the course was fair and in good condition. Fairways were very soft with no roll at all. Greens rolled nicely but few long putts were made.
fast play in the summer!
Early morning, course still packed. But seemed everyone was aware of pace of play because it is a member driven course. Staff great, facilities great. Course in as good a shape as it can be with all the rain SW FL has gotten. One of our favorite courses to play in Naples.
A well thought out layout.
I enjoyed the design of the course, it was challenging enough with a good mix of risk and reward shots. The staff treated you very well I would highly recommend the course.
no easy trip to Club house from 9th hole
we started out with lawn equipment chasing us up to hole three so we just picked up and and went to hole 4 then we got rain and couldn't find and protection from lighting. We ended up driving off course into road and took that back to parking lot loaded our clubs and left wet and with only 7 holes played
Tremendous amenities and pristine views.
First time playing this course and it was wonderful even though it had rained continuously the night before. It was cart only and as a result slow but, the view and the course was worth it. The staff is sure friendly and the facilities are immaculate. I am definitely coming back.
Good choice
Course was in good shape, well maintained, and help was very friendly. Large grass hitting area on practice range with bunker as well. Would gladly go back.
Nice fairways greens course will not be you up depends on what tee box u play from
Would play it again although there are. Tonif in Marco/Naples booking tip if staying at Marriott DON'T book through hotel book through golf now web site it is $20 cheaper go figure??
Great condition.What a beautiful course
To me the is the nicest course and the best value for money in the Naples area.
This course will keep you thinking for where to place your shots from the tee box and on the fairways. Sand is exceptional,
Hammock Bay is one of our favorite courses. Although the course was punched recently and sanded it still played well for this time of year. It never disappoints us.
One of Naples Best Courses
We had the opportunity to play this course mid-afternoon in the middle of summer and found it to be in excellent condition. The fairways were lush and green, the greens were healthy and cut for good speed. The staff was very engaging and helpful. Plenty of tee choices for every level of golfer. I place this in my top 10 of courses to play in the area.
Horrible service
I have played this course since it opened every year at least three times while I vacation on Marco Island. This was the first time this year and it was not a favorable impression due to the golf shop staff.
