Very nice course with perfect open fairways
Awesome grass on fairway and beautiful layout. Course is very fair and open to feel comfortable hitting a driver. Greens in perfect shape but slow. Only thing I would change is mowing greens tighter to at least 11. Highly recommend course!
This course was really fun and has great features. Par 3's were awesome!
I really enjoyed playing this course however, I only played 9 holes bc the pace of play was ridiculously slow. It took 3 hrs to get through 9 holes!! I left bc I really don't have 7 hrs to waste on a round of golf. Having said that, the course is a wonderful course which I hope to play again some day, but next time I'll try to play on a Monday or Tuesday (I played on A Friday).
condition and staff could not have been much better.
I visit Naples a couple o times a year and have been doing so for nearly 10 years now due to family and this was my first time visiting this property. It was a little further than many of the courses I have played and it wasn't my first choice but after visiting I would not hesitate to go back. Wide fairways that accommodate nearly all skill levels with some danger lurking hear and there around the greens. Par 3's are challenging depending on which set of tees you play but very fair for all who dare move back. Staff was first rate, but frankly I was not surprised as I am a dedicated Marriott customer who has stayed around the world. The paspalum grass was in pristine condition and I very much enjoy playing on it as opposed to bermuda. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone looking to play in Naples.
A Gem, Tip Top Shape
Anthony the Pro there is excellent, great customer service, treated us like gold. Great experience all around. We live in the area and will be back again and again. Loved It....
Fantastic course!
I loved everything about Hammock Bay!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, wonderful visually appealing course layout and fantastic conditions combined to make this a truly memorable experience. The Greenskeeper is clearly a golfer. The course is set up to reward good shots, and the pin placements were very fair. Hammock Bay is a challenging course and the setup really made playing well fun! I'll be telling everyone who'll listen about this FIRST CLASS FACILITY! My twosome was cheerfully allowed to play through 4 slower groups and we finished in 3 hours and 15 minutes- great time, but we were sorry to see the round end! I'll be back. Thank You!
great course
one of the most enjoyable courses in Naples........beautiful and challenging....mint condition
Great course conditions.
Fairways were in tournament condition. Unbelievable how well they were maintained. Greens were excellent as well.
The course is very playable. Sticky greens are a big help.
One of the best resort courses in Naples area
This is one of my favorite courses in Naples. Almost no rough on the course and playing off the Sea Grass Paspalum fairways is like playing off carpet. Plenty of room off the tee but also plenty of water around and if you do miss the fairway it's likely a lost ball. Have played this course several times over the years, previously before it was run by Marriott. Was pleased to see that the course was in very good condition and that they had several maintenance projects going which to me is a good sign they will continue upkeep of the course. I got a hot tee time for $28 when then other spots were $75...given other deals out there I don't think it's worth $75 in June.
First Time,Course very good shape, long, generous fairways, unfortunately course was soaked from heavy rains the night before
Well unfortunately hammock bay was under water, so they sent everyone to the rookery which also owned by the Marriot the only thing was I really wanted to play hammock bay but I opted for the rookery. It was also soaked, and many spots there were casual water and hard to take a drop in a dry spot, and it was cart path only, but overall I would recomend playing both courses and book through golf now because it was a great savings
Very playable
Great course. Wide fairways but challenging greens. Aerated last week and mostly healed. Greens are grainy and don't break as much as you might think. Crew is working on cart paths on back 9.
This course is a challenging but fair course.
The Rookery is a beautiful course with a challenging but fair layout. It is always in very good condition and the staff there is very friendly and helpful. Love playing there.
Course is under construction
It just rained for several days and there seems to be some construction going on, the course was just air rated
Outstanding!!
My first visit to the Rookery and I'm Hooked! Challenging but fair if you select the right tees. Fantastic staff and amenities. The most advanced and feature packed GPS units I've seen. The course overall was in spectacular shape. Fast and true greens, great bunkers, wonderful tees, fairways and even the rough was in great shape. I'll be back!
Fun times on a beautiful course
I really enjoyed my round at this course. Was paired with a single from Miami (good comeback on last 2 holes if you read this) and a couple from New Jersey. Fun 4some. We had to wait out a big storm after 12 but just stayed under a shelter until it passed (2 lightning strikes VERY CLOSE) and then finished up. Course was in great shape and was lots of fun. Pretty challenging but fairways were fairly wide so it was pretty playable. Would love to play it again.
Great resort course
If you are staying at Marco Island great course to play. Not far to travel.
Typical resort course
Nothing outstanding comes to mind of the course, facilities nor the staff. Compared to the courses we play in UK the course is easy to bomb off the tee without much hazard. Greens far slicker than used to at home which is why we come!
A pleasant golf outing for a reasonable price.
Great layout for great price.
Beautiful lay out -well maintained. Staff very helpful.
Great Course!
This place was beautiful! The course highlights the natural landscape of Florida with very little housing surrounding the course. The greens were some of the best I have played down here. The pace of play was a little slow but we felt privelaged to play it so it didn't make a difference to us. I would definitely go back. The grounds crew deserves a pat on the back.
Great course
Loved this course. Would definitely play again. Only downside nothing to do with the course itself, were the 3 male golfers in front who were extremely slow players and would not let us through, hence the time for playing.
Good course for the money
Condition was above average! Greens rolled well. A fun place to play with lots of water, which takes a lot of concentration off the Tee.
