Lines on the greens after being punched. Difficult to putt with these grabbing the ball as it rolled into them. Photo submitted by bvmagic on 05/30/2016

Please get Rangers on Course
Our only issue with LJ is unnecessary slow play. We constantly encounter slow groups who lose contact with the group ahead. On this occasion there were 2 open holes ahead with the group in front of us just plodding along oblivious to the situation. I have never seen an on course ranger at LJ to step in and remedy this by simply warning of slow play or moving the offenders along.
Great Fairways and Greens, overpriced, skip this track anyway
Played the North course on Sat 1/17. Way over priced ($150) and tee times are booked too close together. Tee'd off at 1:30 and did not finish. Every hole was a 15 min wait on the tee and fairway. My cart died on hole 4 and i had to walk and carry my bag 2 holes before i replacement cart was brought out. Pro show, replace those old cart. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape, tee box are beat up, they need some love. Golf buddies, skip this track.
Great Condition
Lake Jovita is an awesome place to play a round of golf. The staff were very friendly and I felt welcomed. The only issues I had was the crabby bartender and the crabby snack bar attendant!! We felt like we were bothering them by ordering something . I will definitely go back and recommend friends!!
A Refreshing Change for FL Golf
Most golf visitors to FL quickly realize courses tend to be FLAT and fairly uninteresting. Lake Jovita North is cloudy and rainy conditions did not disappoint. Dollar for dollar, maybe one of the best deals in the state.
Course conditions: A-. Lots of rain resulted in patches of wet fairway and I’ll say this, it probably should have been cart path only to preserve the fairways which were stunningly green and in terrific shape. The greens appeared punched and not fully recovered, but still pretty true. Definitely fast. As the title suggests, we had clouds and intermittent rain, but we almost didn’t notice because of the stunning design. There were too many memorable holes to count and having elevation changes and undulating rolling terrain in FL was a bit shocking. Bunkers good. Just wet and heavy. My grade is most because bunkers were unraked and the speed of the greens were a little inconsistent. Course design was easily an A+.
Staff friendliness: C-. All of the supporting cast, TERRIFIC. Do you ever get the sense that if you use GN, that the pro-shop people look at you with a sense of disdain? I’m pretty sure the guy who checked us in was as unfriendly a person as I’ve ever met. Word of advice, ignore him.
Pace of play: A+ but mostly because the forecast kept the golfers away and for the golf addicts, there less dawdling when heavy rains are in the forecast. Breezed through in 3:15 on a Sunday.
Clubhouse is beautiful. Practice facilities were meh, but driving range is free. To anyone reading this, I’d say Lake Jovita is worth the 40 minute drive north. To compare, we played two rounds at Tampa TPC for ~$350 which was shockingly disappointing on every front. Drive the extra 20 minutes and stop at Publix for supplies.
Back in 60
Came at the wrong time. They were wartering all the fairways while we were playing. So of course cartvpath only with no mention at the pro shop. We were playing the South Course. So of course all the members were not around.
Great course and friendly staff
Enjoyed playing this course. It played true and was fair but nice mix of challenge and opportunity.
Perfect conditions
Very nice course, prefect, nice greens and fairways
Slow play- no ranger
Played 14 holes in 4.5 hours. We had dinner reservations and had to stop play after the SLOWEST round in my life. No Ranger all day keeping pace...This was not CC style golf course.
Great afternoon value
Courses in great condition and we were able to beat the sunset.
Great course
Course was in excellent shape and received great rate. Played in just under 4 hours and beat sunset. Snack bar was not open. Did get one pass by with cart girl so we stocked up as she was heading in.
