Lines on the greens after being punched. Difficult to putt with these grabbing the ball as it rolled into them. Photo submitted by bvmagic on 05/30/2016

Great day
The new golf carts are great comfortable and now have GPS
Love this course. Fairways and greens are pristine. The Par 3 Hole 4 is fantastic!! Toughest hole is the Par 3 Hole 17.
Nice layout fast greens
Nice layout fast greens bunkers were in very poor condition. Standing water in most bunkers improper drainage and sand was washed away.
Never disappointing
Love this course! Tried it for the first time last March. Wish we had found it sooner! Always very well maintained and just the right balance between not to hard and not to easy. An hours drive for us but well worth it. Play here if you can!
The course has Challenging holes for everyone
I like everything about this course I just didn’t like taking 5 hours or longer to play .
Great layout
The North course is high and mostly dry there are only one or two funky holes and many great hole. The par fives are spectacular! The greens were fast and in good shape not over seeded but still green and fast. The traps are the only part of the course that could use some work.
A fun day of golf
Lake Jovita has a North & South course. So far this year I've only played the North. The course is in great shape tees thru greens. It's a good challenge with plenty of bunkers, a few water hazards, and testing fairways - some narrow & tree-lined, some offering changes in elevation, some with strategically placed mounds, and in a couple of instances a large tree IN the fairway. LJ is probably not a good choice for the beginning golfer, what with the nearly 5200-yard forward tees, the challenging layout, and the FAST greens. But it's a fun test if your game can get you around the golf course. Experienced golfer will DEFINITELY love it. LJ is very scenic, set amidst a combination of nature and beautiful homes. It's a bit of a drive from the Orlando area but well worth it. Staff is friendly and accommodating - especially Anthony, the starter. Having played a multitude of Florida courses, I can't think of any more enjoyable than Lake Jovita.
Love both courses at Jovita. Must plays in Dade City area!
Played the south instead of the north. Starter gave me the choice and there was more open holes on the south for a single. Course is in great shape. The south allows me to play from the white tees better than the north. Better for the index with the higher slope. Love both but each is different from layout, scenery etc. Highly recommend you play each.
One of the best courses in the area.
Staff very friendly. Tee boxes, fairways and all greens were in near excellent condition. North course is difficult but fair. I will put this one on my favorites list.
Nice Course - VERY Challenging when it is windy
This was my second time playing Lake Jovita North Course. I had a great time just as I did the first time I played. Today it was VERY windy which made it a real challenge and a stern test of golf. Many holes today I had to take two to three extra clubs due to the wind and I still came up short on many of my approach shots.
The course is in really good shape right now. It was a little soggy due to rain which went through yesterday, but that was not a problem at all. The fairways gave really good lies and the greens are in excellent condition with lots of undulations, slopes and subtle breaks. The course was very well maintained. Many of the bunkers had just recently been conditioned with new sand.
I really like the North course layout and has lots of great golf holes which make you think and plan your second shots.
The course does not end up at the clubhouse after the 9th hole (I forgot that) so I didn't have many opportunities to food and drinks. Make sure you take food and drinks with you out on the course because you will not have an opportunity to stop and the snack bar or pro shop to get food and drinks.
The Starter was great. He let me out earlier than my scheduled tee time due to a break in the scheduled groups going off the 1st tee. That was great and much appreciated. I will definitely play Lake Jovita again when I am in the Tampa area.
Good design, good conditions
Course is in really good shape right now. Fairways give really good lies and the greens are wonderfully quick.
Excellent Experience
Lake Jovita has a large beautiful clubhouse with a well stocked pro shop. The staff here is friendly and helpful, but they are upstaged by the marvelous golf courses at this facility.
We played golf for three straight days in the area, and Lake Jovita had the best greens of anywhere we played. Smooth and fast! Our round was on the North Course. The course was well manicured throughout the entire 18. The layout is one of the best I've seen in Florida with lots of great holes.
You can pay a lot more for golf in the area and get a lot less from the experience. This is one of the best golf values that I have ever found. I will definitely return to play both courses in the future. I cannot overstate how much I enjoyed my golf day. It really was magnificent.
We only saw the beverage cart once during the round on the North. The course does not end up at the clubhouse after 9, so we didn't have many opportunities to buy beer. I'll just grab a few before we tee off next time. That was the only drawback of the experience.

No Ranger
The pace of play was like watching paint dry I passed 5 foursomes after that it was wide open. I think I will not play resort courses this time of the year.
Lake Jovita Golf
My wife & I had played the North Course twice before and enjoyed it, this time we got an excellent “Hot Deal” so decided to play it again. We arrived early and the very friendly Starter said the North Course was very busy but he would get us out on time, but if we wanted to we could play the South Course and go out early as it was quiet. We said yes as we hadn’t played the South before and we both enjoyed it and think we preferred the South Course to the North Course, it was a little bit slow on the back nine as we were a 2 Ball but we were round in just over 4hrs.
We would like to thank the Starter and will definitely play Lake Jovita again (either course) and recommend it to others.
Great day of golf
Found an afternoon special and played the North Course. Enjoyable round, great conditions and finished in just under four hours.
