Lines on the greens after being punched. Difficult to putt with these grabbing the ball as it rolled into them. Photo submitted by bvmagic on 05/30/2016

Enjoyable Round of Golf
We were a 2 ball so pace seemed slow, but we played in 4.5 hours. Heavy rains caused many of the sand traps to be close to unplayable and some were roped off as ground under repair. Greens were a little slower than usual, but I made a few birdies. If you haven't played, treat yourself to varying elevations, not just the typical Florida golf course.
North course
I have played this course several times this spring. The course is finally greening up from a day long rain two days before. Most of the bunkers were washed out from the heavy rain as was expected. My playing partners liked the course and layout as it was their first time playing here. A very nice course for the discounted price.
Excellent
Excellent golf course . Good condition but it is normally in great condition!! Never seen it in bad condition!
Jovita
Great course, challenging. Greens are true, fast and tough without many straight putts. Sand is consistent. Would like to see a few ballwashers on the course or even in the carts. I drive an hour to play this course
Use the Warning Advisory!
Greens were still healing from recent aeration and top-dressing. Consequently putting was frustrating as golf ball bounced a lot. Everyone in the 4some agreed that we would have chosen another venue had the warning advisory on GolfNow been used. This would have resulted in a better experience on Tuesday at a different course and subsequently the usual enjoyable experience at Lake Jovita at a future date rather than the negative impression this has left especially because this is the 3rd occasion this has happened this winter. It is avoidable if golf courses inform GolfNow and the advisory gets posted on the website.
Don’t waste your money
I live in the area and have played both courses many times. Called the course ahead of time to make sure the North course greens were not sanded, pro shop said they were not but they were. Paid $42 for a 3:00 round, course conditions we on par with a $10-$15 course. Sanded greens, thin lies in the rough, and bunkers were washed out. Much better courses in the area for the price, do yourself a favor and play somewhere else
Jovita has the best public courses in Tampa Bay
Simply gorgeous, course is always in great shape, course drains well with the summer rains due to the hills. I prefer the North over the South, but both are amazing. My only complaint is that it is difficult to find food/sandwiches. The cart girls are few and far in between, but when you see them, they often don't have a sandwich and sometimes are low on beer. So bring your own snacks just in case! I highly recommend this course!
Beautiful park style course
Enjoyed the round and the course is in great shape. Will definitely return.
Wonderful place
The people in the pro shop could not have been friendlier. I have found in the past “golf now” players don’t get the best treatment at some courses. The people at Lake Jovita were wonderful and took the time to show me around. The starter was awesome and even took the time to introduce me to several people. I played the North course and it was in excellent condition from tee box thru the greens.
Very Nice Course
We met a friend from Ocala to play golf and we choose Lake Jovita. It was a beautiful day. We had a 12:15 tee time. We teed off on time. The course was in excellent condition. The greens were fast but sharp. The first hole on the south course was a tough start. Once we made the turn we encountered two slow foursomes in front of us. This made for a long round. I would play Jovita again. Nice layout, friendly staff and I played well. We did not eat at the restaurant or use the clubhouse.
Okay round
Course was okay except for lack of sand in traps. Greens were faster than average courses. Traps were very firm and hard.A good test .
Great layout even better Greens!
Played Friday on the South Course for the first time ever! We come down every year from the cold North. This track reminded us like we were just at home, tight fairways that are guarded by trees, and small but beautiful greens. Staff was great from being greeted from dropping our bags off to being greeted by the young gentleman from Boston who gave us all the information we needed to know. "Don't worry about your score on the 1st hole" Will be back
Fast green
Green is so fast and great condition
Should try it
Great great !!!
