Lines on the greens after being punched. Difficult to putt with these grabbing the ball as it rolled into them. Photo submitted by bvmagic on 05/30/2016

South Course Challenge
Was really looking forward to playing South Course as enjoyed North a few years ago. Feeling slightly underwhelmed as conditions not as exceptional as I’d expected. Greens were superb - slopey, quick and challenging. Felt fairways lacked growth so lies very tight. This is a tough course with difficult questions asked by many bunkers and water hazards. All that being said it is a great course that I’d love to play again and would not hesitate to recommend.
Beautiful windy day at Jovita
Fairways and tee boxes in great shape, South Course challenging as always. Range was closed, got kicked off the putting green for them to punch/sand, and they punched/sanded the south course before we played with no notice (in proshop or when making reservation). Pro shop employee just let the phone ring incessantly while checking people out, and it’s not a quiet phone. The icing on the cake was our group on the tee at 10, and two employees on Fringe mowers mowed the fringed and around the green while we were on it, didn’t even give us a chance to attempt to finish out before completing. Insanity they didn’t even slow down.
Greens were in good shape and fast
All parts of the course was in good shape. Excellent job on the course maintenance.
Nice course in excellent shape
Lake Jovita South course is a challenging track from all the tees, We found it to be in very good condition with new golf carts .The staff was friendly and. Helpful . .
First time disappointed with pace of play
I have played Lake Jovita at least 30 times - and would have played more if it was closer. However it’s about an hour and 20 minutes from where my foursome lives. But because of the course and the wonderful outings we’ve had - we keep going back. Unfortunately, our last outing (yesterday 3/20) was unlike any experience we’ve ever had at Lake Jovita. The round took 4 hours 45 minutes to play- solely because of the foursome in front of us. To say they were slow would be an understatement. By the ninth hole they had a hole and a half open in front them. When they departed the 15th green they were 2 1/2 holes behind the group in front of them. Two groups behind us gave up on the back 9 and called it a day. It was an agonizing experience that could have been avoided if the club had a Ranger on the course. Again - I LOVE the course - but this experience was simply unacceptable.
Good times!
Played for the first time and was a positive experience. Friendly staff at check-in, the carts were clean and well cushioned (:)), the range was clean, flat, full of grass., started on time , pace a play was great, no waiting. The course was challenging, but forgiving. A fun place to go at the pin! Overall, very positive first experience.
Always great to play
It was a busy Monday at the course. The rate we paid we paid for this time of year was $60 special I live only 20 minutes from the course and had company in town so it was an easy choice. The fairways were a little short- tight lies as our growing season is just starting now. We got paired up with a father/son and had a great time the pace of play was just over 4.5 hours which was good for the amount of golfers
Great Course
Best course in the area. Fast greens
beautiful fairways. awesome layout
Jovita North - first time but would play again.
First time playing this course. Course is in impeccable condition, and the greens while not super fast, have undulations that make them tricky (it was obvious even at the practice greens). I would assume if you're a regular, you'll know where to hit the ball and manage better than us, but I thought the course was very nice and would play again. We teed off at 3pm so got a significant discount per person w/ cart. The range was closed for maintenance on Monday so keep that in mind.
The greens were challenging.
The overall condition of the course was in very good shape. The greens were challenging but a pleasure to putt on.
Great course
Lake Jovita was its usual self. In great shape and very fun to play
