Expensive but nice course
of the three Lely courses this is in the middle for challenge. Most fairways wide. Greens in pretty good shape but some places with repairs. Lely course are now over $200/round. Range was closed due to rain previous night. Short area open but show its wear.
Flamingo
Fun course. Fairways are in as good of shape as any I have seen around here. It is pricey but what course isn’t around here.
Nice course thank God for GolfNOW
With the hot deal we were able to enjoy this jewel. No problems at all. Loved it !
Great Option
For a public course in Naples in season, this is the best there is by a large margin. Not cheap, but a sign of the times and at least the experience is good on all fronts. Good forward tee options and not too difficult for my wife.
Quality Resort Course
Flamingo was fun to play. Pace was excellent. Conditions were very good. Found the layout quite interesting. Although the course wove through the resorts community, it did not have that feel. Greens were undulated and in good shape. Would play again.
watch out for incoming
Played as a twosome with a slow foursome ahead and inconsiderate foursome behind us. Foursome behind us were in a hurry, although we were keeping pace with group ahead. Lady behind us sliced her shot through the open windshield on our cart at the fourth teebox and missed my head by 8 inches. We got an inaudible "four" and inaudible distant apology. Another time a male player rolled his 200 yd drive to my feet on the sixth hole before the palmetto hazard straight ahead. People behind us were oblivious to proper golfing etiquette. We finished out round in 4 hours.
Flamingo - Hot Deal!
This time of year there is very little value for the money on the nice courses like Lely Flamingo and Mustang.. This Hot Deal at Flamingo made it a great option saving $50. There aren't many of these at Lely so you have to look early in the day.. The pace was good for a busy 80 degree day.
Nice course
Course was in very nice conditions, the greens rolled well. Pace of play was good, played 18 in less than 3.5 hours. Would play again.
Fabulous Flamingo!
I live within walking distance of the three Lely Resort courses but rarely play golf here primarily because of the cost. However, this weekend I found an afternoon Hot Deal under $100 and the experience was well worth the investment - (my partner paid over $200 as a walk-in without a tee time). The Flamingo Island course has always been my favorite, (next to the Lely Classics course which is 100% private), and it was in impeccable shape on Sunday. Hole #5 is an amazing par 3 with a beautiful island green. The staff is not the friendliest but the Flamingo Island course itself and the on-site "Sam Sneads" restaurant make up for it. I forgot how much fun the Flamingo course is. I drive by it almost every day and will be tempted to shell out top dollar again for the experience. I recommend that you skip the Lely Mustang course and play the Lely Flamingo Island course at your next opportunity.
Nice course and club (worth it with discount price)
Played Flamingo course. Very nice setup with helpful staff. Full (included in price)driving range, chipping green and putting green. Starter provided helpful tips as this was first time playing course. Course was in very good condition. Greens were surprising slow but true. Water on several holes but abundant bail out areas on most of the holes. Played with 3 women and their tee boxes were very poor. Lots of women members so this was surprising. I got a last minute 1/2 price reservations so it was definitely worth the price and would go again at the discounted rate. I wouldn’t recommend at full price which is pretty steep.
Quick Play
I was able to play quickly and enjoy my round of golf.
Too pricey for no amenities
For a discounted price if $130 We at least expected a beverage cart. She only came out at 2:00 when we were starting never saw her again. When we made the turn because of the rain we went into the clubhouse and it was already locked We had no place to buy something unless we wanted to wait for the restaurant to serve us.
Way too expensive Just to play on pretty golf course.
