Too pricey for no amenities
For a discounted price if $130 We at least expected a beverage cart. She only came out at 2:00 when we were starting never saw her again. When we made the turn because of the rain we went into the clubhouse and it was already locked We had no place to buy something unless we wanted to wait for the restaurant to serve us.
Way too expensive Just to play on pretty golf course.
Nicest public course in South Naples
This is a very nice course for a public course. I found the grass to be exceptionally long both on the tee boxes and fairways. Have not seen that anywhere else down here.
The Mustang @ Lely is My New Favorite in Collier County!
When I saw a mid-morning tee time for The Mustang Course @ Lely Golf and Country Club, it was a “no-brainer” for me. Yes. It costs a little more to play than the other course I played twice, but my research said, “It’s worth it.” Boy, was it worth it! The staff at the bag drop was very nice and respectful. The staff in the pro shop was also very nice and helpful. I was paired with three other players who couldn’t have been nicer. The tee boxes and fairways were excellent. Some of the traps lacked sufficient sand and several greens had been partially re-sodded, but still had not come back. They putted well, despite their appearance. We easily played in 4 hours. They had a refreshment cart and the vendor was very friendly and considerate. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I look forward to playing there again next year. Great job, everyone!!
Nice Place to Play
AM TeeTimes are difficult to come by on GolfNow. Managed to get one @ 12:51 pm as must of been a cancellation. It was a Hot Deal that made it even better otherwise course is pricey.
Played the Flamingo course & conditions were very nice. Understand it was recently redone. Played as a three some in about 4 hours.
Qualify course to play.
Initial impressions are always important
A day spoilt by an austere reception at the Proshop, they seemed uninterested that we had come to play and at $189 it was a bit of shock. Ill-stocked Proshop and poor changing facilities didn't help but the cold reception really put a dampener on our day. Very pretty course and great practise range (including free practise balls) but we just never recovered from the frankly rude way we were treated on arrival. I subsequently learned that other visitors have been treated the same....will never go back. Recommend the much more friendly Hibiscus course nearby, not the same level but such a more pleasant place to be.
Great layout and fun to play!
We really enjoyed this golf course, par 3s are fun
We played the green white tees and we will be back to play again
Unfriendly starter
We were excited to play here bc it had such good reviews, but as soon as we got to the mustached starter, it went downhill. First of all, we are 50+ old Asian women, and he talked to us like we were teenagers, and he was rude,, we couldn’t wait to get to the practice greens to get away from him. We never asked him to let us go before our scheduled teetime, just asked general question as to where the practice facilities were. And he lied and told us we had 4 groups ahead of us when we actually only had two groups ahead of us! If he was friendlier, we would have started the game in a much better state of mind!
Patches
Mold on some of the greens required poorly done patchwork
3 foursomes on holes14-18. - Had to quit after 16 because it was slow
Mustang
Overall fun experience....several greens in very bad shape, under repair. Not what you expect for the money.
