Mission Inn Resort & Club
About Mission Inn Resort & Club
The family-owned Mission Inn is one of Florida's friendliest and most value-forward resorts. With two golf courses, including the century-old El Campeon layout, it is an ideal setting for buddies trips and, at about 45 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO), remains convenient to reach from afar while removed from O-town's occasionally chaotic energy.Facts

Great day
Great conditions. Best I’ve seen there. Tees fairways and greens all in great shape.
Staff friendly and professional
Unfortunately living off past accolades
Staff is average- starter was great- pro shop group especially check in guy is rude and dismissive. I get it large high school tournament going on however, here’s a great opportunity to shine and guy at front desk is killing it. Groups in town for the week for this event and one guy is single handedly advertising why tracks like Juliette Falls, Grand Cypress, and even Disney are better bets for your golf $. Course is good conditions touch, just had two hurricanes. But what sets this place apart is the creep behind the desk. Would say it was an isolated instance but others have dealt with Mr. Fun as well this AM and have the same outcome. Way to go!!!! Doubt we will be back once this event is over. .
Day after PGA qualifier.
The greens were great, fairways were as well, the only issue the quantity and size of divots left by the PGA field. It is a great layout, it gets too pricy too soon though, but the course, the staff ( other than group sales) and the resort are fabulous.
Great course
Course is in terrific shape. Very friendly staff! Greens are top notch. I played in around 3 hours. I really like El Campeon but this is worth a visit. Like El Campeon, the front 9 does not loop back to the clubhouse. You go from 9th green to 10 the tee. A bit unusual. Only negative at Las Colinas is the excessive distance between tees and greens. Maybe that is why they have very fast carts!
Slow Play All Day
It is such a great course layout but it isn't being managed effectively. Eight minute spacing on tee times lead to a 20 minute delay teeing off followed by a 5 hour round with not a Ranger in sight enforcing pace of play. Greens had some damage from hydraulic fluid but were really fast and rolled well in spite of the damage. The tee boxes were not so good and lots of bare spots. It truly is a great property but could use a few adjustments to make it an enjoyable experiences.
5 hour rounds
This is the 3rd time I've been to Mission Inn the last 2 months and they have all been near 5 hour rounds. They won't let you walk, but they don't enforce their pace of play expectations. Space out the times or put a marshal with some authority out there.
Great Course
Overall 10/10 the course was beautiful and i loved the scenery around the course. The bathrooms were in good accessible locations and very convenient.
Slow play and Rude pro shop member
Tee time was 2:25, did not tee off until 2:40. Clubhouse felt the need to squeeze in four foursomes right before our two some. First nine holes took 2:35 minutes, putting us at about 5:15pm. Know that it gets dark around 7pm, we stopped in the clubhouse after 9 holes. We asked for a voucher or credit so we could return at a later date to play the holes that we would not be getting in on this day. We were basically told that since we used GOLF NOW, we were not entitled to any credit or voucher for our remaining 9 holes each (18 total) Pro shop employee showed no empathy for the situation and denied any type of credit! Very disappointed with Mission Inn and its staff. Will not recommend this course to anyone going forward.
Played at a snails pace
I have played this course several times. However, on this day someone must have overbooked the course. Our tee time was at 2:25 and we did not tee off until about 2:40. We were a two some behind four foursomes, who stated they were playing a scramble. We waited, on average 5-10 minutes a shot. Our first nine holes took 2:35 minutes to play. (putting us around 5:15pm) Knowing that we would not be getting our round in before DARKNESS, we went to the pro shop to ask for some kind of voucher (credit I guess) for the 18 holes (two of us) that would not get played today. The guy at the counter was extremely rude, said that since we used GOLF NOW, we could not get any sort of credit for the unplayed holes. He obviously thought that by using GOLF NOW we were beneath him and it was sad that he could care less about our dilemma. I believe Mission Inn was at fault for overbooking or squeezing in this foursomes before us. This should have been handled as rain out or darkness issue! I will never recommend anyone to play this course as I feel we were let down on our round.
Course layout was great. Most holes were good but for the price and the reputation 4-5 holes needing some TLC is unacceptable. For first timers, we were greeted with unfriendly personnel including the starter and the entourage of employees just standing by rudely directing orders.
Will be back to give this another shot but the lack of hospitality and signage will keep me away for some time.
Make sure you're not playing the same day as an outing
I played Las Colinas, one of my favorite courses yesterday and it was a total disaster. Despite plenty of staff available there was no starter on number one and we started approximately 15 minutes late. There was also no ranger on the course. Two foursomes in front of us let us through but we still waited on EVERY shot. After 4 hours and 50 minutes we reached number 17 tee to find there was a foursome on the tee, one in the fairway and one on the green. We had had enough and didn't bother to play the last two holes. I was scheduled to play El Campion the next day but decided against it after such an unpleasant experience at Los Colinas. I'm not sure we will be back at Mission Inn in the future. My wife loves the spa but it's not worth it if I have to go through such an unpleasant time on the golf course.
Great day
The course was in great condition today, some of the tee boxes need a little help, but the grounds crew is working on that. Greens were in great condition. I would say if you get a chance to play this course, go ahead and book it especially a hot deal.
A very nice course
We had the course to ourselves on a Thursday afternoon in October. Las Colinas first winds through a neighborhood of beautiful resort homes done in a Spanish style. Then the course goes off into the wilderness where away from the houses, with only the birds. Some fairways are undulating. Greens both above and below the fairway make for and interesting round. The staff is friendly and we always stay at the Mission Inn for dinner and drinks.
Las Colinas Course at Mission Inn
I celebrated my birthday golfing at Mission Inn with my son. It was a blast. The staff members were all very nice to us. The greens and the fairways are in excellent condition. We will be back. Highly recommended.
Good course, slow play
Course and staff were good, but pace of play was slow. Groups including poor golfers allowed to play Championship Course. Ended up waiting ten minutes to play every shot. Eventually came off after thirteen
Felt sorry for ambassador who was waiting at eighteenth
