Mission Inn Resort & Club
About Mission Inn Resort & Club
The family-owned Mission Inn is one of Florida's friendliest and most value-forward resorts. With two golf courses, including the century-old El Campeon layout, it is an ideal setting for buddies trips and, at about 45 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO), remains convenient to reach from afar while removed from O-town's occasionally chaotic energy.Facts

Not for the faint of heart
Las Colinas was objectively in excellent condition, except for #7, which had construction that shortened a fun par 4 into a par 3.
BUT!!! The bermuda rough was high and thick. If you missed the fairway by even a foot, you most likely would not find your ball unless you stepped on it. Moving it forward was almost impossible. The only excuse I can see for this (and not having a shorter first cut) is that there must be a pro tournament coming shortly. For the rest of us, the setup was far too penal to consider returning.
Milvet
The staff was friendly but this is not a 4 star course.
Nice
Nice but the greens we're slow airated 3 weeks ago some work going on when it's done should be back to the normal good condition but fairways tee boxes in great condition
Pro Shop Employee
I love Mission Inn Resort and the two courses. Used to play in a league there and now volunteer and earn certificates for the days I work. Yesterday, the only person in the pro shop challenged me regarding the validity of the certificates. I was treating a friend to a round of golf and the person working had an attitude that did not belong in the pro shop. Made me feel unwelcomed and just wasn't what I have experienced in the past. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but if you want golfers to return, they have to feel welcomed. I'll be back but maybe the person working yesterday in the pro shop needs to be less aggressive and more informed. Just my opinion!!
Construction
Do to the construction the inconvenience was a little annoying. Wish the pro shop would of explained the situation when booking a tee time.
Great Golf Experience
Colinas takes you deep into the wilderness. Very private & quiet . Some greens protected by trees so bring your shot shaping and don’t miss by much the jungle out there is thick!
Rough was rough
First time playing this course. We were warned it is difficult and that’s fine…..but when the rough is so high that you can’t find your ball that’s frustrating. Sometimes we couldn’t even see our feet because the grass was so high. We shot about 10 strokes higher than our norm. We are in the 11 index range. Not sure we will put ourselves through that frustration again.
Amazing
Greg Corson great condition wonderful layout would definitely recommend this course to anybody played with some good friends won all the money we’re coming back next weekend
Birthday Blast
A birthday gift from my wife and our first time traveling here. I joined up with a great group of guys that get together every year to play. El Campeon was such a beautiful course, layout, conditions and experience! Rough was truly rough! I lost a couple balls and helped look for some with the guys throughout the course. Fairway is your friend. Greens rolled true. need to remind others to fix their ball marks to keep it rolling nice. Lot of people golfing and pace was little slower but not terrible. Overall about a 5 hr round but the minimal downtimes allowed me to soak in the beautiful hills and landscaping of the property. I will certainly be back again!
Course was Okay
I’ve always enjoyed playing this course; however, there were about 3 holes that were under construction and the rough seemed to be uncut. I lost several balls in the first cut of rough just off the fairway due to the high grass but I was told the course was recovering from a recent qualifier event. That was disappointing but the greens were in great shape although they had been recently punched and the fairways were good. I’ll definitely be back once the course fully recovers because I’ve always enjoyed the layout and the conditions are consistently good. And I love the fact that it sits on a resort so the amenities are great too.
Rough roughes
Rough was cut very thick, if you miss the fairway, good luck finding your ball, otherwise is a beautiful course
Steep hills and lots of water.
El Campion is a difficult track with extreme elevation changes on several holes. Many tight driving holes as well with narrow fairways. The greens are flawless. The fairways were beautiful. The tee boxes were OK and the bunkers were well maintained. The rough is brutally long. Allowing Bermuda grass to grow 6 to 8 inches is just stupid. They really ought to do something about this. All it does is slow down play. Lots of water, too with some forced carry shots. Bring plenty of balls.
Bad
I never saw a ranger and the group’s in front of me where rude ( they spent 10 minutes on every green and they didn’t care that I was in the fairways waiting for them to get off the greens ) they all need to play one ball and play golf not sure what they thought they were playing.
Great Experience
This was the first time I’ve played the Las Colinas course and it was great time for sure. The Staff were very efficient and professional. They made sure I had everything I needed and that I knew where to go. I was paired with a member and they were very friendly and helpful with the layout. It did seem as if every hole was a dogleg right and the course is a little lengthy playing about 6400 from the white tees. But the course was in great shape I could tell the staff knew what they were doing as they have had a ton of rain lately. The rough is tall in places due to the weather but the fairways were nice. The greens were a little slow, they had been aerated probably a week or two ago, but they rolled good and true.
I will definitely be back here soon again.
They switch course on us
Los Collins's was no in that great of shape , a lot of washed areas, construction, the course has gone down hill from the last time I played their.
Nice layout
No complaints about this course. Good layout and conditions were excellent. I will be playing here again.
Grwat condition. Very wet of course but still pkayable. Making changes in areas but doesn't affect pkay.
A Must Play
This course did not disappoint. The course itself was immaculate. We played on the same day as an amateur tournament and man was it tough. I lost at least 6 balls, and only 1 went into the water. The other 5 vanished in the rough. The rough had to have been at least a foot deep. We watched every shot down, would drive immediately to it, and the ball would be nowhere to be found, just feet off of the fairway. I’ve heard this called “The Augusta National of Howey-In-The-Hills,” and I see why. The hills, thick rough, and tight pine-tree-lined fairways were unlike anything else in the Central Florida area. Fairways were in great condition. Greens rolled pure. It was something special.
Pace of play was a little slow. It was a Saturday which is to be expected, but there was really only one foursome causing the traffic jam. Don’t remember seeing a marshal out, but it wasn’t too bad. The only other gripe was that the pro shop wasn’t aware of any GolfPass Perks. It’s shown on the course page, but three different pro shop employees had no clue what it was referring too. Overall, it was a challenging course that exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait to play again.
