Mission Inn Resort & Club
About Mission Inn Resort & Club
The family-owned Mission Inn is one of Florida's friendliest and most value-forward resorts. With two golf courses, including the century-old El Campeon layout, it is an ideal setting for buddies trips and, at about 45 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO), remains convenient to reach from afar while removed from O-town's occasionally chaotic energy.Facts

Decent course
Las Colinas was a good course, not great. Pace of play was very slow. Course needs some work on the tee boxes, greens and fairways. There are better courses in the area.
Amazing
A group of close friends and I played the course on Friday. We had an amazing time. The course is beautiful and well maintained. We will be back soon!!!
Way over rated
Nice, but nothing near spectacular, like I've been reading. Drove 100 miles one way, only because it was free, I had promo credits so the round cost me $0. yes and I'm still complaining. . But I call em as I see em. Course was built in 1917 and it looks it. Resort is lovely but looks like it's 1940s and not cheap. The pro shop and restaurants aren't giving anything away. A shirt will cost you $85 in the pro shop and a meal $30. Greens and fairways were nice, cart paths old bumpy and broken up. I play courses all week in Kissimmee that are nicer, and half the price and much more scenic. Royal st cloud, stonegate at solivita, falcons fire, celebration and cypresswood. Don't get me wrong, wasn't that bad, just and old fashioned. Lots of narrow fairways, hanging Spanish moss and daytime shadows. Some holes on the back nine you were hitting over blind hills, couldn't see the greens. Not my kind of course. I'd say very overrated for the $60 range. Just my opinion
SLOW
I agree with others that the pace was exceedingly slow. I think a marshal to prod along the social talks on the fairways would help.
Nice as always, but ...
Pace of play is just horrendous. We always love making the trip to Mission Inn. Courses are well maintained, staff is pleasant, and lunch always hits the spot. It's the same complaint almost everywhere we go ... Slow slow slow! Please put a few extra minutes in-between tee times and have your ranger be a little more authoritative in moving slow groups to the side (or educate them). There are a lot of folks who truly don't understand the impact they have on the rest of the course. I don't expect people to rush, but be mindful and prepared to play your shot. In the end, my monies are going to the facility and it's on them to police pace of play. It's become an issue of epic proportions and there are a lot of talented people at Mission Inn that I'm sure can find a creative way to help the situation.
Mission Inn Trip
This year we had 24 golfers participate and play 108 holes in 4 days at Mission Inn Resort. The entire weekend was superb - made possible by the excellent services provided by the Hospitality Group, The Golf Group and the Mission Inn Management. This is an annual event we have been going for the past 25+ years and every year is better than the last! Highly recommend this course and facility.
Pace
Had a 3 some 2 groups in front of us playing the blue tees, red tees were out of their range. 2 some in front of us watched to much tv as their skill level didn’t match their ego. We were looking forward to this round for weeks and they ruined it. 4:30 hours and we only got 16 holes in rain washed us out. Players need to be told to keep pace and play to their ability, we will be back but, hopefully things get better. Thanks greg
Wow!
Course was in mint condition. It is a difficult but fair course. The elevation changes on several holes were severe. Greens were fast but rolled true. I love this course and will play it again.
Need To Play
Have always enjoyed this course. Very good condition especially understanding the time of year in Central Fl. Should be on your list to play you will enjoy.
Great first time play
Met my brother here, half way between our homes on each of the FL coasts. Will definitely be back. Great value on "senior rate day." Tees, fairways, sandtraps and greens all in great condition. We were a twosome... later joined to make a 3some... but behind a very slow foursome. They needed to play the gold tees, not whites. Staff was great, and the beer was cold! Love this place and will definitely be back to play the other course.
Great golf course. Maintenance issues
Course was in good shape. The only annoying issue was that the maintenance crew kept spraying water on the greens while I was in the fairway on several holes and I had to wait for them to get their hoses off of the green before I could hit my approach shot. On the 17th green I hit my approach shot onto the green and the maintenance guy came out of nowhere and started to spray the green while my ball was still on the green.
Mission Inn
Solid course but the pace of play was atrocious, 5 and half hour round is unacceptable for the price I paid. With the Tee boxes so spread out you would think pace is smooth but was not unfortunately, great course but took some of the fun out with the bad pace
Family emergency forced no show but charged
I booked through Golf now and was unable to make early tee time for single. I attempted to contact but no answer on phone. Next communication was email stating i will be billed for no show. I find itis difficult to believe my no show impacted their revenue which required billing me for having an emergency. I will not be using either golf now or this course.
nice course, could be better
The course looks well maintained, great layout, however, the green is really slow, both the practice green and the course greens. Tee boxes are in excellent condition, some fairways have holes (not divots) here and there, a few good drives only to find my balls are in some of the holes. The beverage cart stopped often, thanks for the service! Although the girl didn't seem to be having a good day. Pace was slow, 2 foursome in front of us, wish them have played faster. Overall, it's a great course with room to grow better. Food in the grill room is not bad. If you don't mind slow greens and want to play a somewhat challenging course, this is one you can spend 5 hours.
A must play
Two courses to play. El Campion being the ome where Symetra, McKenzie, college etc. tournaments are played. Right now in great shape. Will test you in many ways. Elevated fairways & greens, challenging par 3's over water, dogleggs, fairway & greenside bunkers. Fast true greens. Big trees strategically placed on fairways. You will use every club in your bag. You will love the challenge.
