Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Absolute dog 💩
4/18/26
Greens are dog 💩
Fairways are dog 💩
Greens are dog 💩
Wish I was exaggerating. For the condition, the course is a $40 round MAX. No foundation under the ball, not even on the tee box. It’s like putting a tee into sand. Patchy fairways, greens covered in sand traps too. If you work there and are reading this please get in touch about refunding my $65.
Nice lay out but poor conditions.
Last minute find for an early tee time. Should have known for $50 at 7:24 am something was wrong. 2nd group out so we played in little over 3 hours so pace was not an issue. However, tee boxes had weeds and greens were not in just as poor.
Nice layout
For the money, ok
The greens are poor
There’s several areas on most green that are sand & unplayable in these areas
If the greens were better I’d definitely play it again!
Wide open
Course was in such bad shape that I considered asking for my money back. Greens were spotty, punched and a mixture of matted down dirt and grass. T boxes were in good shape mostly but the fairways were in sorry shape with spots of grass. If it were a perfect weather day I would still have the same thoughts. Finally we traveled just shy of 70 miles to play this course. Never again.
What’s going on at RWCC
Terrible conditions, tee boxes, fairway edges, around the greens and the greens. All patchy, dry, rough unkempt.
This course needs a lot of work
Greens are in bad shape. The rough around the greens is nonexistence course needs a lot of work.
Hugely disappointing.
What happened? Played here two years ago on this course. A good layout that NOW is so poorly conditioned and managed that it will get a no return on this end. A group of four teeing off ahead of us that was giving lessons on the course to two first time persons that had never played before. No course ranger or starter.
After 6 holes and 2 1/2 hours we had to skip ahead a hole to get relief of waiting on every shot and playing at 20 minutes per hole. No cart concession person or ranger. Greens absolutely terrible, knobs of grass and bare spots on every hole. Good luck.
Course in terrible condition. Will not go back. Paid for 18 but only played 9
Course Rating
The course is a cow pasture and the greens are unfit for putting. It’s awful and a waste of time and money, this course should not be listed on golf now.
It was the worst course I have ever played in my entire
Play it and see if you feel the same way, wait let me save you some money, don’t waste hard earned money.
This course looks like they are trying to let it go to sell it to developers.
JUST TERRIBLE
Played a lot of not-so-great courses while snow birding but this was the worst. T boxes in bad shape, fairways, if lucky to find a sliver of grass, and the worst THE GREENS. And I should have figured out when I drove in, and parking lot was just about empty. If you play it after you read my review, don't say I didn't tell you.
Course conditions
Fairways were in good shape as long as you roll the ball. Rough was all sand and weeds and the greens were very patchy and bumpy. Some bare spots on the greens. I've always heard courses make their money on greens so it was very disappointing.
Good course
Good course, friendly staff, decent range, and great benefit of the GPS in the cart.
Not worth the money
None of the greens were even remotely close to be acceptable. They seem to not have been watered for months and there was so much fungus, sand, crevices, etc.
Disappointing
Stuck with two macho men who should take golf lessons, They were all over the course with each shot and held up play. Need to learn manners as well since they played their radio and one was on his cell phone constantly. Talked loudly while the one woman was teeing off as well as when she was in the fairway (the few times they placed their shots in bounds! Fairways and especially the greens needed watering. Too bad as the area was scenic with some great homes.
New course
Love the course layout and fairways but they need to water, sand and roll the greens. Hope they get their liquor license back. Great bar
Awful Conditions
Course is not worth a single penny in the current shape, greens are dead and uneven, if you aren’t in the fairway it’s basically sand/weeds you’re hitting out of. Go elsewhere.
The Club
Very nice place.
Course needs attention in many areas but it played An K
Green need a lot of attention and were so hard they were close to unplayable
Staff was personable and helpful. After golf we had a round ending beverage in the bar. Mariah was awesome..big smile, engaging. .
