Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Don't waste your time here
My first time back in 3 years. Thought things may have improved since then. They are worse. From the tee boxes to the greens... a mess. This course has a great layout, but they flat out do not keep it up. Pace of play was OK, but that was one of the more positive things I could say. I was going to quit after 9 holes because it was that bad, BUT, the guys I was playing with wanted to keep going. There are better tracks to pursue. Pay a little more for better.
Good layout. Condition, not as good.
I was an associate member in the mid to late 90’s, so I am pretty familiar with the course. The layout has always been fun to play, with the exception of 16, which I always thought could be improved by removing a few trees where the fairway turns right.
The fairways and greens are generally in decent shape, with the exception of the 16th fairway, which was more dirt than grass (probably caused by our El Niño winter).
I do miss the really fast greens that used to be a little scary, but always true.
Modifying the ditch on 18 with a covered culvert would make the hole more playable for us average golfers. Overall a good day on the course for our family foursome. Staff was great, restaurant as always was awesome.
Fun Golf
We really enjoyed the layout and variety of tee choices. To find a course at this time of year at an affordable price through Golf Now was much appreciated!! The warm up of the included driving range made for a good start.A few too many weeds on the fairways and damaged tees needing grass was the negative. Tee off was on time and staffing was professional.
Not in great condition
The Fairways were weedy and not well cared for. The tee boxes were in disrepair and the greens need a little more maintenance.
JUST BAD
1ST DRIVING RANGE HAS VERY OLD BALLS AND BEATUP.
T BOX/FAIRWAYS/TRAPS/GREENS NOT A ONE WAS IN ANY GOLF SHAPE FOR A FLORIDA COURSE. PACE OF PLAY WAS GOOD BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE PLAYING COURSE. WILL NOT GET MY $$ AGAIN
Needs work
The course is laid out well but the fairways are in bad shape. I didn’t enjoy hitting off dirt rather than grass
Slow play is an issue.
For the price, can't complain about the course. Not in good shape but playable. Enjoyed the actual layout though the pace of play was slow - only got 17 holes in due to slow play in front of us. Get a ranger out there wishing people along and please either have drinkable water on the course or a beverage cart available.
Stay away brutal
They should give me back my money. Fairways are brutal. Tee boxes are worse, greens are fair. Waste of money.
