Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Great layout, below average conditions
Layout is great and so much potential. Greens were not great for the price on the front. Got a little better on the back. I enjoyed playing it but expected a little more for the price
Nice course
First time playing this course and it was very challenging. Really enjoyed it
Potential
Fairways poor condition they should have been over seeded. Thin a lot of bare areas . Greens were hard and course shows a lack of watering and maintenance. Pro shop had no merchandise .
Love the Layout
I like the layout, it is unfortunate that the course isn't given the care it deserves. It used to be maintained in better shape. there is no overseeding, the grass is very tight in the fairways, the greens hold pretty well and were fairly fast. It doesn't appear that they are doing any watering other than what mother nature is doing and that is nothing down here. Certainly has the potential to be a much better facility; as they have a beautiful clubhouse and patio .
Tale of Two Nines
A beautiful day that was complimented by having a great front nine. As we came off the ninth hole, we stopped to get a hotdog and a drink, and as we pulled away two young men in separate carts, we’re leaving the driving range and eventually drove in front of us to the tee at number 10. They proceeded to play a 2nd shot every time they hit a poor shot. Needless to say it was a miserable nine holes!
THE BEAST
Are you ready to use every club in your bag? Well...you will here!! If you plan to play this track you will have to be strategic!!
The layout is one of the most challenging but inviting!!
This is worth the time, the money and the travel from anywhere!!
Thank you Beast 😊 I'll be back!!!
This golf course was in terrible shape and it’s sad because it could be a really nice place, but it was absolutely atrocious
Good value
Course is in good shape, found the fairways dry, traps are in excellent condition, greens are small targets if your playing whites, blues or black.
Very nice practice facilities, driving range, chipping and putting which came with fees, very nice!
Dog track
I thought they banned dog tracks in Florida but somehow this one still exists. Course is in horrific shape and I will not play here again....even if they were paying me to do so. The layout has potential but the head greenskeeper needs to find a new profession is this is the best he's got i took pics of the greens in terrible shape but it won't let me upload. Staff was nice but that's hardly a reason to play somewhere.
Worth the Drive
I've played this course a few times over the years and if I can find a good deal it's well worth the drive from St. Pete. Staff is friendly & practice area feels like a private club with free balls on the range, chipping and putting greens. The course is not too difficult but there's lots of water and big sandy bunkers. Carts are brand new GPS and even warn you when there's an alligator nearby which is handy! Going back in a few weeks.
