Challenge
Very nice course. Did not have the excellent and pampered service you would expect at this price range but the course was beautiful
Great layout and challenging.
Loved how the course blended into the terrain. A lit of elevation changes (for Orlando area) and undulating fairways. Some dead spots on fairways and near greens.
Great Day on the links
Course was in great shape. Tees, Fairways, Bunkers and Greens
Fairways were tricky - Narrow on some holes and not flat on others
Shot placement is key
Pace was slow, played on Presidents Day so not the courses fault.
Poor course condition
This course is certainly not 169 dollar course. Over priced!
And the course condition is just average in Orlando courses.
4 star greens, 2 star course
Never played a Nicklaus course that I liked. Still haven't.
Great shape
The course was fantastic if you like fast greens and plush fairways. The group in front of us was slow but steady. We ended up at the Watson club house first and everybody was friendly and accommodating but not so friendly at the Nicklaus pro shop desk. Over all a great day.
Awesome
Great layout and great course conditions. It’s pricy but FL in February? It’s is going to be expensive for golf. Greens were prefect, fairways were in great shape. Much better course then the other two course in Reunion.
Great day of golf
It was a true Nicklaus design. Plenty of fairway bunkers, smaller, fast, elevated greens, sloping fairways. We really enjoyed playing the course but in the end the key question is whether any course it worth the price they charge.
Reunion Nicklaus a Real Treat
Reunion/Nicklaus is one of the toughest courses I've played in Central Fla, today because of the chilly/windy conditions, but the greens are treacherous. They are so very quick, but undulations make for a tough putting experience. The layout is carved out of nice rolling terrain, and the surrounding homes (huge buffer zone for wayward shots) are spectacular. All holes have character, the par5s are tough, the par3s have good length variance,(#16 is signature hole); but the keys to success (scoring) is keep the ball out of bunkers and avoid the 3putts (I may have even 4putted #8). I followed up with kick-in Birdie #9, but few GiRs left me on Bogie Train all afternoon. Staff --starter, cart guy & bev-cart were really nice, so all things encourage a return visit. Thanx to GolfNow for the access to this premier course in Orlando.
Poor course condition
Poor fairway condition and they did greens aerification and still charge $169.
Disappointed!!
challenging but fair
Course was in great condition. Most holes sided by waste bunkers, plenty of sand traps, water carry over 3 or 4 holes. Challenging but very playable. Liked the course a lot and I had a free monthly promo code to apply., so the $169 price was not a factor.
Wish It Was a Public Course
Played the Palmer track and really enjoyed myself. I was invited to play by a friend that was staying at the resort.
The pro shop was nice and staff friendly. The practice facilities were excellent with all the expected practice amenities such as the driving range, chipping area and putting green (speed on the putting green was very close to that of the course greens).
Tee to green, the course was in excellent condition. We played from the whites which in effect lessened the difficulty quite a bit in my opinion. The back tees would make this track much more challenging, demanding more accurate shots off the tee. This course had an overabundance of sand traps to include large waste areas. However when playing from the fairways or even the light rough, you were rewarded with fairly routine approach shots. I managed to find myself in a few of the bunkers around the greens but the sand was predictable and easy to get out of.
The greens were fast and surprisingly easy to read so I rarely left myself more than 5-6' for par when on in regulation.
Definitely recommend this course, hope I have a chance to play the other courses someday.
