Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Played in the early afternoon on a Wednesday. Staff at bag drop, pro shop and starter were all friendly and good-humored. Tee boxes and fairways are in good condition. Bunkers a little wet generally, with a small puddle of standing water found in only one. Greens were in good condition as well, but unfixed ball marks and residue occasionally caused some bouncy putts. Nothing too unusual, though. A very enjoyable challenge with plenty of water and a fabulous island green. Would be happy to play again!

Really nice course, Friendly staff, and Great Design layout course

I enjoyed playing The Raven. It was in very good shape, but the pace of play was very slow. We would have to wait 5 minutes before we teed off on each hole and we were not able to finish the round on the last hole. They need a Marshall out in the course or they need the last tee time to be 12:30

I would not recommend this course at all. The greens were extremely bumpy and in poor condition. The overall design of the course is extremely difficult with all the sand bunkers and the size of the fairway. Considering it is a public golf course with all the hazards and the layout of the course it makes it very slow play.

Course had great views. Course was in good condition. Staff was rude. Pulled up at the end of our round to the bag drop but told we couldn’t drop our bags off at the bag drop because there was a tournament and they needed the space for their carts. so they told us to turn our cart around and park it, and then carry our bags to our car in the parking lot. So after paying over $100 to play staff made us feel like we’re playing on a municipal course. Pro shop staff was rude . There are much better courses in the Destin area to play that are in the same price range.

Greens are terrible. Bumpy, dry, inconsistent, and there a tracks on every hole that absolutely ruin the course of the ball.

Great layout — fairways pretty good. The cups had not been recut in many days. Beyond shaggy and damaged. Didn’t appear to be rolled. Tee boxes bear up — need to move the markers more often.

It’s a shame — great bones.

Golf course was in great shape… greens were a little hard for my taste.

I wouldn’t normally leave a review like this but it is deserved. We played 3 days in the same group, Links, Raven and Baytown. Links and Raven were both fantastic. Baytown was a total ripoff. They didn’t bother to tell us that the greens were covered in a fungus and every green was covered in sand. Impossible to putt. I understand sometimes they have to things to maintain the greens, but most courses would have warned you in advance ,a nod/or offered a discount, a substantial one based on the conditions. But we were charged full price and their only warning was that the Baytown greens were a little slower than Raven. Ha…what a joke. Try 5 points slower, leaving a sand trail with your putt. All in all we really felt lie we were ripped off at Baytown. Don’t trust them.

Nice layout. Plenty of water to lose a ball n or two. Six holes ir so are open to the bay on the back nine!

Front nine definitely plays easier.

This golf course offers all the perks before during and after your round practice range balls before tee off tee times are spread out to where you seldom see the group ahead of your group so you’re always ready to tee off and the course condition is kept up to where you actually do experience different conditions from fairway first cut and rough throughout your round greens are all set up the same first hole plays same as 18 so you only have to pace your putts to the inclines and breaks it’s just a great place to play with no distractions or impurities that can take your focus off what really matters

Played this course on a last minute hot deal ($50.99!) and was not disappointed. After a morning full of rain, I was expecting the course to be soggy. Once I got there, was informed it was cart path only (as expected), but the 2 I was paired with had not checked in, so I got sent off early as a single! The course was in fantastic condition. Greens rolled fairly fast and true. They had maintained a good level of firmness even after the rain. Fairways understandably had some softer areas but the ball still mostly bounced and they were in great shape as well. Ended up playing as a 5-some with the group in front of me and still maintained a 4 hour pace of play. Layout provided many different sight lines and varying types of holes. Spectacular views of the bay, and challenging holes along the water. 100% will play again if back in the area.

Not a bad layout, course was very dry but little rain in last month. Pace of play was SLOW and so were the greens. Greens were slow, rough and bumpy, otherwise would've been a decent golf course.

The lady that was the starter very rude greens were in bad shape no sand in sand traps it’s Florida there’s sand everywhere but in there traps no cart person for the first nine just not worth 105 green fee
