Raven at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

I have played the Raven now about five times. This was the coldest I have ever played it, but it was at least sunny. The pace of play was great. Overall course conditions despite the greens were good. The greens were not in bad shape or anything, it was simply disappointing to see all the un-repaired pitch marks on the greens (not the courses fault and common at public courses). When I entered the round in GHIN afterwards the yardages/slope & ratings within GHIN did not match what was on the course's scorecard. Wish the course would address this.

Course is in great shape. Greens rolled true, fairways perfect, bunkers very playable. Pace of play good. 4 hour round for our 4some.

Challenging layout that will test your game. Course is in great condition. Green’s are very receptive and roll true.

Played in the early afternoon on a Wednesday. Staff at bag drop, pro shop and starter were all friendly and good-humored. Tee boxes and fairways are in good condition. Bunkers a little wet generally, with a small puddle of standing water found in only one. Greens were in good condition as well, but unfixed ball marks and residue occasionally caused some bouncy putts. Nothing too unusual, though. A very enjoyable challenge with plenty of water and a fabulous island green. Would be happy to play again!

Really nice course, Friendly staff, and Great Design layout course

I enjoyed playing The Raven. It was in very good shape, but the pace of play was very slow. We would have to wait 5 minutes before we teed off on each hole and we were not able to finish the round on the last hole. They need a Marshall out in the course or they need the last tee time to be 12:30

Great layout — fairways pretty good. The cups had not been recut in many days. Beyond shaggy and damaged. Didn’t appear to be rolled. Tee boxes bear up — need to move the markers more often.

It’s a shame — great bones.

This golf course offers all the perks before during and after your round practice range balls before tee off tee times are spread out to where you seldom see the group ahead of your group so you’re always ready to tee off and the course condition is kept up to where you actually do experience different conditions from fairway first cut and rough throughout your round greens are all set up the same first hole plays same as 18 so you only have to pace your putts to the inclines and breaks it’s just a great place to play with no distractions or impurities that can take your focus off what really matters

Fantastic course, well maintained, friendly staff. Outstanding facilities

Enjoyed the round, course well conditioned and greens were very fast coming from the Midwest. Staff was very courteous and helpful. We played a foursome in under 4 hours even waiting on a few shots on the twosome in front of us.

Course was in wonderful shape. Super fun course to play!!

I played 4 course this week and to be honest, it was my favorite by far. Will be back next year

The course had recently been aeeified but recovers enough to have very little impact on our round. As for those who complain about the cart paths, you should try a Louisiana course sometime. A few bad spots due to tree roots, but otherwise, that is a none issue. We'll be back!

For a course with a lot of play, no money is being spent. The cart paths are in terrible condition. Not worth the money and no discount with aeration. Paid $100. Not worth $40 and the second “best” in Sandestin. Troubling as Sandestin used to be a great course to play. Not now unfortunately. If you can’t fix the cart paths, you obviously don’t care.
