I dove in the waters surrounding the 17th green. Gordon Davis, who's been the diver there for 20 years, was my guide. No gators, just golf balls. A lot of golf balls. Photo submitted by MattGinellaGA on 05/02/2014

A very demanding course.
Dye on Weed... very demanding, but greens were slow because they just overseeded and cart path only created very long walks.
Great layout, more fun than the stadium course
course was in great shape even though it had just been overseeded. greens were a little slow but rolled fairly true. rest of course in great shape.
Expected great things at Sawgrass
Sawgrass Dye's Valley course, definitely treated like the second class course, staff were cordial, no course information given by starter! No GPS or course planners, so played it blind!! Greens recently dressed, absolutely no chance of putting and greensmen watering greens whilst teeing off (par 3s) and whilst playing second shots into greens, very dangerous and off putting !
Great course!
Wife & I played just after very heavy rains. Course was saturated which made it play much longer than the rated distance. We look forward to returning but on a day when Mother Nature is kinder. Course was immaculate and the staff was superb...a first class experience.
Dye's Valley is challenging and unforgiving...but fun to play!
What a great day of golf! The staff was so friendly and pleasant. We say "unforgiving" in that if you go off the fairway, you may never find your ball. If you do, it won't be easy to get it back on track.
This is as good as it gets!!!
1st time playing the Stadium course. Absolutely beautiful. As challenging as they come. Greens play like a gym floor. Rough is deep and mean.
By all means use a fore caddie. Ours was great, and helped to make our day. He helped us with distances, was great with reading greens, and easily covered his tip with locating balls.
1st class course and organization from start to finish.
TAKES PRISTINE TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL
FROM RECEPTION TO STAGING TO PRE-GOLF TO FIRST TEE, THE BEST ORGANIZED & EXECUTED PLAN EVER. I THINK EVER BLADE OF GRASS ON THE PROPERTY WAS EXACTLY THE SAME SHADE OF BRILLIANT GREEN. OF COURSE THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS CAME AT THE AWESOME 17th. THERE IS GENERALLY A SMALL BACK-UP HERE ON MOST DAYS.THE OOOHS & AAAHS OF THE GATHERED PLAYERS, TRANSPORTED ME STRAIGHT TO SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE PLAYERS' .
The best of the best!!
WOW...This course is amazing! From the minute you drive onto the property you know you are in for a treat. Our caddy was incredible. He knew where every blade of grass was and how to read the greens perfectly. Leave your GPS in the bag because you wont need it here. The greens are fast and the rough is tough. You have to keep it in the fairway to score low. I would recommended this course to all golfers looking to have a true PGA experience.
Get a Caddie
Fantastic course condition in late Sept. I nabbed a great price ($225) with golf now and decided to pay the extra hundo for a caddie to walk with me. The caddies are faster than using your gps/rangefinder and earn their money on reading the greens. The course is challenging but great shots are very rewarding and if you stick the tee shot on 17 while your partners are wet, it makes you feel like a million bucks. Well worth the money.
sawgrass...enough said
great course, friendly staff, fantastic experience...every golfer should play this course at least once
Every golfer in the world should play this course once.
Their is not much more I can say other than fantastic. Staff was great, fore caddie helped, even the turkey wrap was delicious. I'm poor so this probably was my only chance to play this course. For the rest of my life I can watch the TPC and say " I hit one into the water on 17."
Stadium in great shape
Played the stadium course - slow round as usual - but i was ready for that. TRUST your caddy for yardages and reading greens
The place was in fantastic shape - one other draw back is a lot of maitenance crews on the scene - but gthat is why it is in such great shape
Stadium Course
Playing this course was a true high point in my life. The whole round from start to finish was awesome. The clubhouse was incredible. The staff treat you like royalty. The course is pristine and super hard. Some tee shots give you some forgivness. But, if you miss and get the rough good luck. If you miss the greens on your approach watch out it is punishing. Having a chance to play a PGA Tour course with all the history and where so many great players have been was surreal. After my round I had even more respect for what the pros can do. Had a great caddie Craig made the round even more enjoyable. Make sure you tip well. Thank You Golf Now!
CART PATH ONLY REALLY :- \
A fantastic place to play golf, a we bit over board on cart path only.
The reason they give is that they want to keep the course in the best
condition possible. This however makes for a less than enjoyable round, too much walking. You best get a caddy that will make it more enjoyable...
Perfect golf experience
The course is absolutely beautiful but tight! Stay in the fairway...the rough will eat up your ball. Make sure you watch where your ball goes into the rough, you practically have to be on top of it to find it! Water in play on almost every hole!
Practice facilities, club house, and food are best in town!
Dye's Valley Course
First time playing Dye's Valley, after having played Stadium Course numerous times. Have often heard that Dye's Valley is slightly more difficult, but would not quite agree with that assessment. On its own merit, a fine golf course with sufficient challenge and excellent condition, although green speed was a bit slower than expected. I would recommend Dye's Valley Course without hesitation, but consider Stadium Course to be superior in all respects. Overall rating would be 4.5 if possible, but round down to "4" since fractions are not possible.
Fairways Required
This course has one consistent defense; two in the summer. The water is ever-present and in the summer, especially a wet one like this has been, the rough off of the fairways will receive your ball like the clowns mouth on the 18th hole of the Fun-House of Putt-Putt Golf...Ok, its not really that bad, but you sure want to be in the fairways.
Also, the practice green was firm, smooth, and quick while the Valley's actual greens were softer and somewhat slower, with significant grain influence on direction and pace.
This place would be worth it everyday at the Golfnow rate I paid.
Ranger
Two holes open in front of three groups. Very Hot day three groups on the last three holes. No ranger to be found. Left and did not play the last three holes. Just beware it will be a long day. No reason ranger can not move people along.
Stadium Course Review
I can honestly say I've never had a better golf experience than the one I had at TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course. Not only was the course amazing the staff and amenities that surrounded the course were amazing. It's without a doubt a once in a lifetime experience.
Who doesn't like TPC Sawgrass!?!
This course was way more challenging than it appears on TV. Some of the lies around the green are very challenging. Hitting the fairways are very important because hitting it in the tough my lead to a layup. 17 is a walk in the park despite playing 17 and 18 in the dark.
