Good course, good pace of olay
Course was in decent shape considering the recent rains. Greens is good ish shape. Some tee boxes was iffy but rain and cold weather did that to them. Pace of play was better today.
Wasn’t a good fit for me.
Unknowledgeable pro shop staff (tried to give me ladies rental clubs). The $20 club rentals were a joke - no name clubs and not even a full set with universal fit shafts(?). Other courses have name brand club rentals for only a little bit more money (Baytree rents full sets of Titleists for $40). The course was in good shape and the layout was good. Will look at other courses the next time I’m in the Space Coast area.
The Great Outdoors is Great
Excellent as usual. Greens were fast and true, had a great time other than the 5 putt on #10.
Enjoyable Round
We had a very enjoyable round at the Great Outdoors. The layout is relatively open with lots of water hazards. This course is truly the outdoors with numerous gators. We have seen approx one dozen gators of various sizes, sunning themselves everywhere, including the grandaddy, mayor George - he is a massive dude.
The large greens are in great shape and lightning fast - expect a lot of 3 putts. The fairways are well maintained in excellent shape. Some of the boxes are below par. They are rough and dry with brown, dying grass. There are several washrooms facilities strategically placed at various locations on the course. The pace of play was steady - our foursome finished in exactly 4 hours. The mostly senior staff is friendly and courteous. A pretty, non-senior cart girl was around couple of times. Overall, we found this course to be of decent quality and quite enjoyable. It offers excellent value for money on GN Hot Deal. We will certainly play it again!
Great Experience
The fastest greens: surprising. The course is in great shape. Purple of greens need a little TLC. pace was ok given foursome ahead of us. For the price it’s a great value. Very relaxing.
Fun Layout. Greens Excellent.
Really enjoyed the layout. Thought it was in great shape. Greens were true, smooth, and fast. Would definitely play again.
Never boring when you're... Great Outdoorsing!
Fun round as always with the fine folks at The Great Outdoors Golf Course! Book your round today.
Garbage...Pace of play 5hrs 13 mins
The course was in the worst shape I've never seen it. Normally a decent course but not today. However the main issue was that it was overbooked tee times. A 5 hour and 13 minutes round is ridiculous. They cater way too much to the residents there, over load the tee sheet, especially when the snowbirds are in town and happy to take the other players money that don't live there. The course is supposed the close this April for renovations. Maybe during this time they can learn how to manage the tee sheet...maybe. I'll wait until the course reopens to return.
We apologize for the negative experience you had during your recent visit to our golf course. We appreciate your feedback and we are sorry that the course was not in the best condition and that the tee times were overbooked, resulting in a longer round. We will take your comments into consideration and strive to improve our management of the tee sheet in the future. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.
Worth the Drive
Course was a bit wet but well maintained. The greens were true and fast. The fairways are great. We had an enjoyable round. Will certainly return
Not bad
Staff is friendly, course is legit challenge, greens fine.
Downside - several holes adjacent to interstate, most holes surrounded by vinyl-sided RV resort type structures that are kind of ugly, very slow pace of play. Wedgefield course 20 min away is much better
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for any negative experience you may have had with the proximity to the interstate, the surrounding structures, and the slow pace of play. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our golf course.
