One of my favorite courses
This is one of my favorite courses around. Nice layout and in good condition. The Greens have been rolling much faster this year. You can't beat the value. It's a fun layout with plenty of lakes and ponds. Also plenty of wildlife. You'll see plenty of gators. I've also seen deer, turkeys and an occasional hog and rattlesnake. Absolutely some of the best scenery around.
I enjoyed putting the green they were smooth but not extremely fast. Some holes the fairways were damp and you got no roll. The greens were wet and the ball plugged around them or on them. A fun course to play maintained well and would play it again
Great price great shape
The course is in great shape with great greens. Great food and staff in the restaurant. For less than $40, it can’t be beat.
Great layout and location
The course was in great condition. A little wet in Places but I assume they must had had a lot of rain recently
I was met by a friendly starter who paired me up
Tee boxes fairways and greens were all in Good condition
We completed the round in 3 hours which was awesome, even catching a 5 ball group halfway round the back 9
Even with the 45 min drive to get here it was well worth it. A fun day in the course. I will be back
Tough, but fun.
My friends and love coming out here to play. The course isn't that long, and the fairways are wide, but there's plenty of water, and woods. You have to be on your game to play well here.
TGO is always in great shape, with quick(er) greens that hold a shot. This is one of the tougher courses we play in the area. It beats us up, but we keep coming back.
Course review
I played this course late morning and was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the entire course. Fairways were lush and tightly mowed. Greens were in excellent shape with the exception of 1 that had some burning in few areas. If not for that one green, they were in great shape. Putts rolled true and were on the speedier side which I find ideal. Staff was very pleasant and ready to assist. Cart girl was running behind due to a mechanical issue, but more than made up for it with her outgoing and pleasant personality. I’ve played many high end courses, but for the money you would be hard pressed to beat this facility.
Great Value
The course conditions were fantastic. The fairways were pure, mowed tight, firm with roll. Greens were smooth, good speed, rolled true, and very soft (fix your ball marks as you will leave some big ones). Some of the tee boxes were getting bare and could use work, but that’s minor. Staff was very friendly to this first timer. Great value, I’ll be back.
Course was in great shape
Still a thought layout, but the greens and fairways were in great shape. Great value for the money.
Pace was miserable
The pace of the groups ahead of us was miserably slow. The ranger wasn’t anywhere to be seen. It should not take over 4.5 hours to play 18.
TGO Golf
This is a great course for a public course and one that gets as much play as it does. I would put it up against many of my home courses in the state of Missouri. Chuck does a fantastic job of keeping everything going at TGO Golf.
Best greens around
The course is in great shape, especially the greens. Outstanding. Very friendly staff and the price was right . Only knock was the restaurant was closed on Monday.
We rounded
I love this place and need to really get there more often. I played this round after major rain, was cart path only and course was soggy, but only so much you can do with the weather., it got better as the day went on and sun got out. The staff is alway freindly, the shop is stocked with anything you need, the off course restaurant bar is well stocked and food is great. Will be back soon!
Well you are outdoors
Tiny mushy greens surrounded by weeds and backyard grass. Very strange place. Bunkers weren’t playable and the course doesn’t handle water well.
We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any negative experience you may have had. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Great course for the money!
Fairways and greens were immaculate! Even with the Fla. Daily rain. Staff is Great. Price was very affordable. Visually beautiful. And they had a left handed club for sale that I immediately purchased.
Course in good shape
The course is in good shape. Only small negative is some of the tee boxes need to be leveled and some TLC but overall in good shape.
We apologize for the slow pace of play during your visit and for the absence of our ranger. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we appreciate your feedback.
