Biggest “wild” gator I’ve ever seen. Yes that’s my buddy’s ball close to his head and no he didn’t go get it! Photo submitted by volsfan32119 on 01/12/2025

Another great time
The course was cartpath only due to all of the recent rains. It had rained every day prior to our round for the last week. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The course was wet around the edges and near the cart paths. The greens were very receptive and rolled true, but we’re not as fast as they can be. We will be playing there again.
Good course, good price
Course is decent shape. Heavy rains as of late so cart path only. Other than that, decent course will will probably play again.
Wet but still a great course
Was cart path only and crowded but always fun to play the course. My wife and I joined up with a young twosome on the third hole. We enjoyed our round, and the walking and the twosome were very nice and fun to play with.
Nice course in great condition.
This is a fun course overall with some easy, and some fairly difficult holes. Greens, fairways and bunkers are very good. A few tees are in so-so shape.
TGO is a RV community, but the "RV's" are the size of Greyhound busses. Garages are bigger than houses. The locals cruise the neighborhood in decked out carts. Trippy.
As many reviews have noted, there's lots of wildlife. We saw a couple alligators and an eagle take off with a fish in it's talons.
As advertised
This was my first time at the Great Outdoors golf club. I have been told by golf buddies that it was a good course to play and they were correct. The course was an excellent condition from Teebox to greens and the staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone.
Great overall.
Sometimes RV courses can be questionable. It's been a while since I played this course but I was impressed. The greens were in great shape, fairways were great, and tee boxes were in good shape. All this in spite the rain we have received over the past couple of weeks. The only issue was the fringe aid the greens were not cut. But kudos to the staff. Watch for gators. The basis are out.
Great greens
Just stay away from the water and have a great day of golfing
Tempting
Some shorter holes that always tempt you to go for green. Good layout challenging greens. Like that ball moves and makes it challenging. restaurant has great food and nice view. Definitely will be back.
In great shape
It was a great round of golf. The course was in great shape. The greens were great and putted true and fast.
WATCH THE GATORS
Glad I finally got to play this course. Warm ups gator was very interested in my warm up. Was kinda funny. The course is narrow and will challenge you. Greens are as challenging with movement. It is a shorter course then most but very enjoyable. Scenery is great and enough wild life to constantly give you something to look at. The restaurant if nice and gives you a view of the 18th hole. Food was awesome and entire staff was super friendly. Can't wait to going back again.
In the best shape
The course was in the best shape I’ve seen so far this year. The fairways and greens were great. The greens weren’t as fast as they have been, but they were smooth and receptive. We’ll definitely be back.
May become a member.
Course is wide and in great shape. Greens were super fast. Everyone in the office and on the course spoke to me and were friendly. Not always the case.
I Give Up---Never Again
Another insufferably SLOW round. Three times in a row we have played there, and it consistently takes five to five and a half hours to play. And most of the time it is the MEMBERS who are in front of us and have NO concept of how to get around a course in a reasonable amount of time. There are always 3-4 holes open ahead of the group we are following. I have had enough. Unless they hire a ranger who can speed up play, it is NOT worth the aggravation of slow play to tolerate the course.
