Waldorf Astoria Orlando
About Waldorf Astoria Orlando
Invoking its famous New York forebear, this Waldorf Astoria Property serves up similarly gracious luxury in a quiet corner between Orlando proper and the uber-popular Disney resort. Indeed, visitors to its parks will often choose this resort for its convenient location and quieter feel in the Bonnet Creek development. The Rees Jones-designed golf course is a draw, too.Facts

First-class golf experience in Orlando
This is an excellent course. It's a very interesting layout, a little more challenging than a typical resort course. Fairways were nicely maintained, rough was lush and made missed shots punitive. Greens were smooth, albeit a little slow.
The staff all around the course is incredibly professional. From the moment you leave your car with the valet they make sure all you need to worry about is your next golf shot.
Definitely on my short list of courses to play in the Orlando area.
New layout
Very well manicured scorecard still needs to be adjusted for the new course design. Has always been my favorite course.
Top Shelf Facility
Terrific staff, friendly and accommodating, fully aware that customers pay big bucks to have a good time. Very well managed club.
Coarse conditions were as good as can be this time of year. Well groomed and tended to. I observed maintainance crews throughout the round working almost invisibly about the property. Great layout, a tee box for every level of player.
Marshall on site keeping the pace of play in order which is very rare for resort golf.
Outstanding service and Outstanding course
Loved it, yes the greens were tough because of the regular scheduled maintenance but this course was fantastic thanks for a great time
Beautiful course great job, I will be back!
What an awesome round on a beautiful course. Very well maintained and yes I knew they had just got done with maintenance on the greens so yes they had a lot of sand but didn’t bother me I still shot very well. Great job to the friendly staff and everyone there.
Chef's kiss!
The condition of the course was "chef's kiss"-perfect! But we caught it between rounds of maintenance, so look on the website for updates. The layout is nice and not too challenging. Some of the holes are a little too close to each other and we were visited on the fairway by people playing around us. The overall service makes this a special experience- from the ice towels offered to you on the course, to the refreshing towels at the end of the round, the nice setup on the drivingrange, and the guys at the valet (that didn't loose our keys this time) - it made this round stand out to us. Maybe a little overpriced.
Beautiful Course for a premium price
Beautiful course. With the exception of punched fairways and tee boxes, it is in excellent shape. The fairways are easy to hit, the raised greens are not. A little off line and you will find yourself in a deep bunker or uphill shot. The greens roll true at a perfect pace. Pace of play is excellent and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Not sure if I would play here again at the $190 price tag on Golf Now.
Excellent course
Excellent course that is very very well kept. The clubhouse is extravagant and the pro shop is nice and has good merch. The course itself is nicely laid out and is challenging with bunker placement. The grass is probably the nicest I’ve set foot on. The staff were all really kind as well and don’t make you feel out of place when visiting such a high end establishment. The only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars is affordability. It costed $127.67 CAD for only 9 holes. I’ve played at courses in Canada with similar prestige that only costed around $110 for 18 holes. So, if you can afford to come here definitely do so. But if cost is a factor, you may want to save up ahead of time.
Front 9 great shape, somewhat disappointed with some fairways on back 9. A few holes cart path only creating longer to play holes. Overall good experience for first time and would recommend.
Challenging course in great shape
Course was in great shape and had a nice range and chipping/putting practice area. The course layout at the end of the back nine is a little confusing since there is a par 3 under construction and the card shows a par 4 #17 when it is really a par 5. Other than that the fairways were nice and fairly wide, and the greens were in great shape. Water does come into play on many holes.
Great 1st impression
It was my first time playing the course the back 9 was being aerated so I was able to play the front 9 twice. The course was nice and open and played well, I had no problem keeping my ball on the fairways. The greens were nice and smooth and played well. I’m far from a good golfer so the pace of play was great with the back 9 out of service they were not as busy and I was able to enjoy my round without feeling rushed and really get in a solid round of golf as I tried to improve my game. I was very impressed with the staff their friendliness and the way they have everything set up for you when you arrive. I would love to play this course again next time I’m visiting the Orlando area.
Very nice
Thoroughly enjoyed the round. Great conditions on the course. GOLF NOW had not provided an aeration warning, but the course called me a day or two ahead to inform me that the back nine was closed for maintenance. I was offered two times around the front nine and took it. All aspects of the visit were great. Chipping and putting area, free range balls, comfortable carts with GPS.
Greens were wonderful.
Overpricee
This course was actually in good shape. Staff was friendly. Only negative is online they had a tee time for 8:40 ($85 for 18 holes)
My buddy and I booked the tee time for that price through golf now. When we got to the course the back nine was closed and the $85 was only supposed to be for the front 9. The guy at the desk told us that there was miscommunication with golf now and it wasn’t supposed to show $85 for 18 holes. It was supposed to be $85 for 9 holes. Who the heck wants to pay $$85 for the narrowest course in Florida. If we knew that’s what it was going to be we could’ve saved ourselves a hour drive and played somewhere else.
To make a long story short don’t go to this course. Complete waste of money. This course normally costs $190 . With everything it comes with this course is nowhere near $190 course. There are plenty of cheaper courses that are 10x better than this
Fun course
This course was fun to play. It had fairly open fairways and challenging greens. Their was no wait and we finished around 3 hours. I would definitely recommend this course when visiting Orlando.
Nice Course, But Don’t Expect Good Service
The course itself is super nice and well maintained, but for $200/round, I expect the off course amenities and service to be much better.
From the moment I arrived the service was sub-par. The valet was backed up and inattentive, requiring me to walk my own bag up to the front door so I could check in timely. And once the valet acknowledged me, it was like pulling teeth finding out where to go. And during check-in, the front desk attendant was less than helpful regarding a pre-payment issue.
The driving range was grass, so that was nice, but they don’t provide any tees, so you have to hike back to your golf cart if you did not bring your own. All high end golf courses I’ve played at provide tees at the driving range.
The on course employees (ranger, beverage cart) were friendly and helpful, but after the round the cart barn employees started cleaning my partners clubs and once I tipped him, they literally stopped and unloaded the bags without cleaning my clubs.
I don’t care that it’s a Waldorf Astoria course, with so many other nice golf courses nearby, I would rather spend half the money and get poor service than pay a premium to get poor service.
