About Callaway Resort & Gardens
Callaway Resort & Gardens is a 2,500-acre retreat in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. The property was founded in 1952 and today features 36 holes of golf and many more natural and outdoor activities on the grounds to explore. The resort is home to the Lake View and Mountain View 18-hole golf courses, both wind and tumble through the rugged and forested terrain. The Callaway Resort & Gardens is set on Robin Lake, which has a beach area, while there is a robust events calendar bringing arts and entertainment to the property. In addition to golf, there are three pools onsite, workshops, hiking, tennis and a spa. The Treetop Adventure is a series of ziplines and bridges in the trees, and there is also a large butterfly center and birds of prey exhibit. For restaurants, there is a multitude of dining areas ranging from fine to casual, beach and poolside fare. Accommodations range from rooms and suites in The Lodge and Spa; more relaxed cottages with full kitchens and fireplaces; large and upscale villas; and the more affordable Mountain Creek Inn.Facts

Great hole! Photo submitted by dongolf0123 on 04/21/2014
Past PGA tour event played here
Considering time of year played, course in very good shape. Not crowded at all when we played (mid day) therefore round was completed in less than four hours. Will b returning in the future.
Golf
I really enjoyed this golf course. It was in better condition than what I was expecting. I never felt rushed with pace of play. Worth the drive and price. Can't wait to play there again.
Great course
Nice little course nestled in the Georgia hills. Considering it’s mid-October, the course was in really good shape. Tee through green is well maintained and the greens are firm, making it a good challenge. Definitely recommend this track for the avid golfer.
Everything was great accept the attendant behind the desk that morning tries to say someone had already been there with my reservation # hieever they did get me out about 30 minutes later so still a good day overall
Great Holiday Weekend
Great holiday weekend getting to play Mountain View the day after seeing the Braves baseball game. The course conditions have greatly improved since April. Kudos to the course superintendent and grounds crew.
Great Staff
Very accommodating staff at CG. Got us around a group of 30 seniors so we weren’t held up. Awesome weather, course, and staff!!
CALLAWAY GDN - LAKEVIEW COURSE
This is a short par 70 course and the layout is average except for the memorable par 3 hole 10 which you get to drive across the lake using an old s-bridge and see the old club house. The fairway condition and the sand bunkers in the 1st 9 were not in good condition.
CALLAWAY MOUNTAIN VIEW COURSE
The green condition is average as they were not rolled properly and there were lots of sand fillings.
Overall course layout is so-so as they were not much of a challenge.
Great Shape!
Mtn View is much more enjoyable to play now compared to 3-4 months ago. The course superintendent has successfully revived the fairways and greens to what this course used to be.
RANGE CLOSED on Sunday Afternoon
Had a tee time on Sunday and I was informed when I arrived that the staff closed the range because it needed to be cut ?? Really on a Sunday Afternoon ??? The man at the counter was extremely rude when we asked why the range was closed and did not care about trying to make things right. This course has so much potential but the conditions were average but not worth what they charge for a green fee. Maybe one day Callaway will return to what it once was. If you want to play a nice resort style course I would stay away and look into the Robert Trent Jones Trail Course in Auburn, Al.
nice course bad greens .
Always enjoyed this course with a nice lay out and beautiful. However the last couple times here, and especially today, the greens are in very poor condition.
