About Chateau Elan Winery & Resort
Chateau Elan Winery & Resort is a golf resort located in the North Georgia mountains to the northeast of the Atlanta metro area in Braselton. This 3,500-acre estate is home to a nearly 300-room and suite resort (with a collection of villas as well), winery and four golf courses (one of which is accessible to members only). In addition to two 18-hole resort courses, there is a 9-hole executive course. The resort completed a $25 million enhancement project in September, 2020, the first major renovation since the property opened in the 1980s. The lobby was entirely redesigned and there are four new dining concepts. Additional activities at Chateau Elan include an outdoor pool, tennis courts and culinary studio.Facts

This was the #13 green if i'm not mistaken. Can see how nice the sand bunkers were and how nice the green was. Photo submitted by bryan6804634 on 09/16/2016
Vintage Chateau
The kinder, gentler course at Chateau Elan. It offers plenty of challenges but less punishing than the Woodlands. Course was in good condition. Greens were true.
Great course and facilities!
Only thing I have to add is that the green are full of ball marks making it very difficult to put. The club house should be giving on writing at the time of checking in the rules to follow to be able to play, fixing ball marks on green and fixing divots.
Above average course
Course in good to great shape, from tees to greens. Played @ 2:00 pm & pace of play good. GPS on carts a plus. Need water coolers on course & the one ball washer I used was dry.
Got a good deal on GN w/ percentage off.
Course was in great shape. Local knowledge is helpful with some greens as they have a lot of tiers and undulations in them. You have to miss is the tight spots. Greens were probably between 8-10 on the stemp and rolled pretty true.
Some hard holes but good place for beginners
You have to check in the main pro shop then drive back out on the main road into the traffic congestion and turn into another part of the resort. Not ideal
Course conditions were not great
Small greens and 3rd - 4th -9th are brutally hard . Other holes are easy. Took a beginner and it was nice and quiet during mid week morning. So they could practice some shots and learn.
Not cheap for what it was and having to walk..
Still after nine holes we went back to the clubhouse and had a delightful lunch...
Beautiful course and homes. We live in Hamilton Mill and are members at the club but we enjoy playing other courses. We will be back if we can get another Hot Deal. It was 95 degrees so we will enjoy more in the fall.
Woodlands at Chateau Elan
Got to play the Woodlands course at a special rate which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and the cart girl came by at least 4 times. The course was in good shape for the most part. The Bent Grass greens proved to be a challenge. The greens were a little soft and had numerous ball marks which was understandable with Bent grass here in the South. We also had a couple of rain delays. Overall a good outing with friends.
