About Chateau Elan Winery & Resort
Chateau Elan Winery & Resort is a golf resort located in the North Georgia mountains to the northeast of the Atlanta metro area in Braselton. This 3,500-acre estate is home to a nearly 300-room and suite resort (with a collection of villas as well), winery and four golf courses (one of which is accessible to members only). In addition to two 18-hole resort courses, there is a 9-hole executive course. The resort completed a $25 million enhancement project in September, 2020, the first major renovation since the property opened in the 1980s. The lobby was entirely redesigned and there are four new dining concepts. Additional activities at Chateau Elan include an outdoor pool, tennis courts and culinary studio.Facts

Might be worth the rate in the Summer
Greens were fun. Moving nicely but spent most of the time fixing ball marks.

Played the 9 hole Executive course with a friend and my father in law on the 7th. Was great, But would’ve been nice to see a water station midway in course. Other than that was good day. Will do it again but with drinks in tow…..
Ball repair
I cannot understand how courses let player abuse the greens. I was repairing as many as 15 ball marks on the greens.
You need a camera on greens where the approach shot it a wedge and notify people repair you divots or leave.
I know nobody likes honesty any more but the biggest problems are Asian players. I don’t have any clue why but that’s a fact. Very odd.

Might as well play in a cow pasture
The club wants to shut down this course and build more residential. They have p doubled the price and the greens are the worst I’ve ever seen. Also there are only 2 or 3 holes that you don’t need to tee off with a wedge or 9 at best. Won’t be back.
Winter off season at Woodlands
Wow. Spectacular course, beautiful layout. Fairways are brown at this time of year, but greens were better than I expected.
I came down for a business trip from Canada, and played Woodlands in the morning, and Château in the afternoon. Both courses are different, but I really prefer Woodlands over the Château course. Short frost delay in the morning, but basically nobody on the course.
The double cheeseburger lunch at Sarazens restaurant was fantastic as well.

Great course
Great course as always and only thing keeping me from 5 star is the price during winter is a bit heavy. Need a tiered price structure. One for resort guests and one for locals. It would certainly help all those open tee time on a Saturday. Greens in great shape and staff as always very helpful. Young lady with the beverage cart was excellent. I will be back but hopefully with a lower price
Played chateau even though I booked woodlands
Love the layout and the greens. Solid pro shop and bar area. Pace of play was outrageous! No marshal on a Saturday. Called the pro shop twice and no one answered. Tee’d off at 12:30 and barely finished. 5 hour and 10 minute round is unacceptable. Barely saw the beer cart twice; hole 2 and 16. I expect more out of a “premium” course. I do love the course itself though. The starter was very friendly, but she haphazardly let’s us tee off 30 minutes early on a course we didn’t book - that can’t help the pace of play.

One if my favorite tracks
The course has always been one of the best public course layouts in GA. If we didn’t have a slow foursome in front of us it would have been even better.
