Great State Park Course
Really enjoy the layout and diversity of this course. Good conditions for this time of year. Great value for the price will continue to play here.
The Creek
Course was really wet , cart paths only ,, but will definitely go back again.
Pace of play
A foursome held up the course from hole #3 to hole #18 and wouldn't let fast groups play through. It made for a 3 hours round turn into a 4 hours round.
Marshall needed
We arrived 30 minutes early than our tee time so we could have some warm up time, but the pro told us they were backed up and we could tee off when the tee box was empty. There were 10 other players in line. So we did not get to warm up and we had to play behind a 5 player team, witch was very slow. Course was backed up all day without a starter or a Marshall to keep play at a decent pace.
Good winter golf
Greens are medium fast and in very good condition. Fairways are soft due to a lot of rain but are in good shape for this time of the year. Worth the trip.
Some good and some not so good.
The greens are usually well maintained but some fairways need improvement on irrigation.
