Course was in terrible condition for the price
Charging $50 for a round of golf when the tee box and greens are splotchy and needed to be cut down. Rip off
4th stage cancer on the greens
Some greens are ok but several are seemingly beyond repair and should be dug up and rebuilt. Most tee boxes are just sand and it’s hard to maintain traction. It didn’t help that we had a group of 7 in front of us. SEVEN!!! It’s sad because this course has no houses, beautiful trees and water features and could really be something special. The staff is extremely friendly and I realize they are working on a government budget but the obvious potential of this place makes the sore spots stick out even more. I marked that I would recommend to a friend, mainly because of the affordable tee times. Would be great for beginners or occasional golfers.
Golf Day
I have played here several times. The guy running the pro shop was not very nice
Nice course - good conditions
The Creek at Hard Labor State Park was a nice course well run by the staff.
Pro shop let us start early and sent us off back nine to avoid a high school meet scheduled for later on back nine. That move allowed us to play 18 in under 3 hours. Always nice when shop knows their stuff.
Course is a nice layout with turf in good early season conditions. Course is well worth the midweek GolfNow Hot Deal price of around $25. I’ve played much worse for much more.
First time here - like to come back later in season
Course needs to get some sun. Looks like a big fire happened sometime in the not to distant past. Most of the woods on some holes are dark from the fire. Some of the greens need some work. Staff is as friendly as anywhere I’ve ever been. Love the Georgia State park courses. This will be nice later on like in the summer.
Great value
Beautiful course and a great value
Excellent pro shop staff and service
Conditions
Greens currently slightly punched with a light sand layer
Hopefully back to normal in a week or 2
Cart-paths are being repaired and many trees cut down to encourage sun and airflow for better grass growth
New Course superintendent are doing a lot of work to improve the course
Should be looking great by end of 2022
Needs some work
The tee boxes was pretty much dirt and over grown. The fairways were decent besides the piles of sticks stacked everywhere and the greens were awful bumpy and slow
Hard greens
The greens play like concrete. A softly hit ball would roll completely across and off the green.
Disappointing
Greens were in bad shape compared to previous rounds at this course. Dry conditions contributed to ball run out through the fairways into unplayable lies.
